Bhartiya Kisan Union Submits Memorandum to Farrukhabad Administration
The Bhartiya Kisan Union Mahashakti (BKU) has submitted a memorandum to the Nagar Magistrate in Farrukhabad, highlighting various pressing issues. The organization has specifically called for an immediate investigation into an alleged fake visually impaired certificate linked to Rahul Pratap Singh, a resident of Sindhi Colony, and urged for legal action against the accused.
According to the organization's district president, Manoj Yadav, despite the health department declaring the certificate as fake, a case has not yet been registered against the individual concerned. The BKU has issued a ten-day ultimatum to the administration, warning that if action is not taken within this period, they will be compelled to gherao the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) office.
Farmers Seek Compensation and Address Milk Producers' Issues
The memorandum also prominently features a demand for immediate relief for farmers affected by recent heavy rainfall. The BKU has strongly urged the district administration to conduct a swift survey of crop damage and distribute appropriate compensation to affected farmers at a rate of twenty-five thousand rupees per hectare.
Furthermore, the issues faced by milk producers registered under the Sajni Milk Producer Company were brought to light. Farmers have accused the company of not providing fair prices for milk and engaging in irregular payment practices. Farmers are reportedly distressed by alleged manipulation in Fat and SNF (Solid Not Fat) testing, along with deductions in the name of TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) and bonus.
The BKU has requested a high-level inquiry into the roles of company supervisor Anil Yadav, Area Manager Sohandev, and Plant Head Gautam Gurjar. The organization has appealed to the administration to ensure a fair investigation into all these matters and take strict legal action against those found guilty.
The BKU has made it clear that they will not accept any compromise on farmers' interests and may intensify their agitation in support of their demands.
