Encroachments Removed to Facilitate Traffic
In a significant move to improve traffic management, municipal authorities in Bhind city have rigorously cleared temporary encroachments from footpaths and roads along the route from Chaudhary Petrol Pump to Satte ki Pulia. This action was taken based on persistent complaints from the public, directed by the Chief Municipal Officer, Virendra Chakravarti.
For years, various shops had occupied a substantial portion of the footpaths and roads in this area, causing considerable inconvenience to pedestrians and commuters. Three shop owners located in front of Virendra Vatika had reportedly extended their businesses by approximately 12 feet each onto the footpath and road. Shopkeepers were conducting business by setting up stalls and carts on the road, obstructing movement and negatively impacting the city's aesthetics.
Anti-Encroachment Drive and Future Warnings
A team of municipal officials visited the site, advised the shopkeepers, and issued immediate instructions for the complete removal of all temporary encroachments. Following this action, taken after many years on this route, affected shopkeepers have been issued a stern warning: any future encroachment on roads or footpaths will not be tolerated and will be met with legal action.
The municipality has clarified that this anti-encroachment drive will continue. As part of this ongoing campaign, a drive to remove permanent encroachments from the Bus Stand area is scheduled for tomorrow morning. Key officials present during the drive included Nodal Officer Ravindra Pal Singh Bhadauria, Avinash Chauhan, Ramnaresh Rajak, along with sanitation staff and departmental employees.
The administration's proactive measures have brought relief to local residents, who now anticipate smoother traffic flow.
