Police Arrest Two in Daylight Robbery Case
The Bhind police have successfully solved a daylight robbery incident that occurred in Devnagar Colony by apprehending two suspects from Etawah. The police also recovered the looted gold chain and the motorcycle used in the crime.
These arrests are linked to the robbery that took place on October 2, where two motorcycle-borne criminals snatched a gold chain from an elderly woman. Following the incident, the local City Kotwali police registered a case under crime number 486/26 and commenced an investigation.
Investigation Leads to Arrests
Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Verma and Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Patel, a special team was formed to thoroughly investigate the matter. The police painstakingly reviewed footage from approximately two hundred CCTV cameras along the Bhind to Etawah route.
Based on the information gathered from these CCTV feeds, a route map was developed. Simultaneously, precise information received from an informant helped the police pinpoint the location of the accused. Utilizing this technical evidence and intelligence, the police conducted a raid near the Lion Safari in Etawah.
Suspects Apprehended, Stolen Property Recovered
In a well-planned operation, the police successfully arrested two individuals identified as Saurabh Jatav and Ravi Kushwaha. Preliminary interrogation revealed that the accused had stolen a gold chain valued at approximately 1.5 lakh rupees, which has now been recovered by the police. Additionally, the Yamaha FZ motorcycle used to commit the crime has also been seized.
Further Investigation and Potential Revelations
Both arrested suspects have been presented before the court and subsequently taken into police remand. The police are hopeful that during their interrogation, the accused will provide crucial information about other criminal incidents in the Bhind district, increasing the likelihood of solving pending cases.
The role of Station House Officer Mukesh Shakya and the Cyber Cell team has been deemed extremely significant in making this operation a success. The police are currently scrutinizing the criminal history of the arrested individuals to identify other active gangs or criminals operating in the region. Local residents have commended the police for their swift action and commendable efforts.
The investigation team included Inspector Mukesh Shakya, Amit Singh, Neetendra Mavai, and Satyaveer Singh, among other police personnel.
