Two Major Four-Lane Highway Projects Approved for Damoh

The district of Damoh is experiencing a wave of happiness following the approval of two significant four-lane road projects. A delegation of approximately 180 members, led by Damoh MP Rahul Singh Lodhi, met with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav in Bhopal to express their gratitude for the sanctioned projects. These initiatives are expected to ignite new hopes for development in the district.

Cabinet Approves Substantial Funding for Highway Construction

During a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, approvals were granted for the construction of the Damoh to Katni four-lane highway at a cost of ₹4,470.50 crore and the Damoh to Sagar four-lane highway for ₹2,059.85 crore. These construction works will be an integral part of the Bhopal-Sagar-Damoh-Katni-Singrauli corridor.

Present on this occasion were state cabinet minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Damoh BJP District President Shyam Shivhare, MLA Jayant Malaiya, and several other office bearers.

Smoother Travel to Religious and Tourist Destinations

The construction of the new four-lane roads will make travel between Damoh, Katni, and Sagar exceptionally smooth. This will be a significant relief not only for local residents but also for travelers passing through the region.

With these roads completed, accessing major religious and tourist sites such as Kundalpur, Bandakpur, Maihar, and Panna Tiger Reserve will become much easier. This is anticipated to boost tourist numbers, thereby promoting the region's tourism industry. Furthermore, it will considerably reduce travel time and enhance road safety, likely leading to fewer accidents.

Boost for Industrial and Commercial Activities

The scope of these projects extends beyond mere road construction; they are poised to bring far-reaching economic benefits. The transportation of raw materials and finished goods to industrial areas will become more efficient, injecting new momentum into commercial activities.
