Under the significant women's safety initiative 'Mission Shakti' by the Uttar Pradesh government, a new 'Mission Shakti Kendra' was grandly inaugurated at the Kampil police station in Farrukhabad district. The aim of this initiative is to specifically provide a safety net for local women and girls and to empower and make them aware of their legal rights.
At the dignified ceremony held on Tuesday, Superintendent of Police Arti Singh herself was present and formally launched the centre by cutting the ribbon. Highlighting the centre's importance, she stated that it will serve as a safe haven for women, where they can share their problems and receive necessary assistance without any fear or hesitation.
Empowering Women Through Awareness and Support
Addressing the women during the inauguration ceremony, Superintendent of Police Arti Singh conveyed a message of courage and resilience. She made it clear that in case of any emergency, harassment, or adverse situation, they should seek police assistance immediately and without any hesitation. She assured that the police force is always fully prepared and committed to ensuring their safety and justice.
SP Singh encouraged women by saying that awareness is the first step to empowerment, and the Mission Shakti Kendra is an important initiative in this direction. The primary objective of establishing the Mission Shakti Kendra is to prioritize women's safety above all else. This centre will not only provide immediate aid and counselling to women who are victims of incidents like harassment, domestic violence, and sexual assault but will also provide them with detailed information about their legal rights, government schemes, and available support mechanisms.
This centre, established at the Kampil police station, will act as an accessible point of contact where women can register their complaints and expect swift resolution. Through this initiative, the police administration is striving to remove fear of the police from women's minds and establish a relationship of trust.
SP Singh Reviews Police Station Premises
Following the inauguration of the centre, Superintendent of Police Arti Singh conducted a thorough and systematic inspection of the entire premises of the Kampil police station. During this intensive inspection, she closely reviewed the current status of maintenance of various records, registers, daily crime entries, and other important documents. She ensured that all records were stored systematically and that their updating process was running smoothly.
SP Singh also obtained crucial information from local officials regarding ongoing criminal activities in the local area, the law and order situation, and the steps being taken to maintain peace in the community. She instructed the Station House Officer and other officials to pay special attention to crime control and women's safety with public cooperation.
Mission Shakti: A Significant Step Towards Women's Empowerment
On the occasion of this important program, Circle Officer Ajay Verma, former Gram Pradhan Shahana Baby, Headmaster Neelofer, and a large number of women police personnel and other staff from the police station were also present. The establishment of the Mission Shakti Kendra is being viewed as a very important and positive step in Farrukhabad district towards women's empowerment and establishing strong and trustworthy communication between the police and the general public.
The goal of the police administration is to further strengthen the current security system, for which the operation of such awareness campaigns and new centres will continue uninterrupted, so that every woman can feel safe and exercise her rights.
