A road accident occurred in the Fatehganj Paschimi area of Bareilly on Thursday, October 8, 2026. A Scorpio car lost control and crashed into a divider while attempting to avoid a stray cow on the road.

The incident, which took place near the Coca-Cola agency in Mathurapur, involved vehicle number UP 25 DZ 7863. Two individuals traveling in the car sustained injuries.

Injuries and Response

Eyewitnesses reported that the driver swerved sharply to dodge a cow that suddenly appeared on the road, causing the car to lose balance and mount the divider. The impact severely damaged the front of the vehicle.

The injured individuals have been identified as Haroon Chaudhary, son-in-law of the Nagar Panchayat Chairman, and his associate Vivek Gangwar. Both sustained internal injuries.

Community Support and Medical Attention

Upon receiving news of the accident, several prominent figures, including Chairman's husband Mohammad Shahid alias Kallu Bhai, corporator Sharafat Hussain, Maulana Ahsan Ansari, Mahendra Pal Sharma, Mohammad Tasleem, Zakir Hussain, Dr. Mudit Pratap, and senior contractor Jagat Singh, rushed to the scene.

With the assistance of locals and the dignitaries present, the injured were promptly admitted to a private hospital for treatment. Doctors have stated that their condition is stable.

Police Intervention and Traffic Resumption

Local police also arrived at the accident site following the report. Using a crane, they removed the damaged Scorpio from the road, facilitating the resumption of normal traffic flow.

The police have initiated necessary proceedings and are investigating the incident. The injured individuals continue to receive medical care, and the situation is currently under control.
