Yami Gautam, Aditya Dhar Shift Base To Himachal

Actress Yami Gautam Dhar and filmmaker Aditya Dhar have reportedly chosen to move their permanent base to the serene locales of Himachal Pradesh. This significant shift signifies a desire for a quieter existence, largely away from the constant public scrutiny that accompanies life in Mumbai.

The couple, known for their discretion in managing their personal lives, are expected to balance their time between their new Himachal home and Mumbai for professional commitments, according to a report by the Free Press Journal.

Yami Gautam's Deep Himachal Roots

Himachal Pradesh holds a profound personal connection for Yami Gautam, extending far beyond a mere vacation destination. Prior to her marriage, the accomplished actress invested in a century-old heritage property located on a 25-acre estate in Gohar, Mandi.

This ancestral home is deeply entwined with her family history and cherished childhood memories. The property gained even greater sentimental value for the couple when they exchanged wedding vows there in June 2021.

Their residence in Himachal is thoughtfully constructed using natural materials like wood and stone, and is complemented by surrounding gardens where various produce, including apples, potatoes, plums, and ginger, are cultivated.

A Deliberate Choice for Privacy

The Dhars have reportedly prioritized maintaining the simplicity of their Himachal property, eschewing extensive development typically associated with celebrity residences. This preference aligns perfectly with their conscious decision to maintain a low profile whenever they are not actively engaged in filmmaking projects.

Their commitment to privacy is a defining characteristic of their public persona. Despite being a prominent couple in the Indian film industry, Yami and Aditya seldom allow their private lives to become a subject of public discourse. Their public appearances are generally confined to work-related events such as film shoots, promotional activities, and significant industry gatherings.

Aditya Dhar's Post-Dhurandhar Public Presence

Filmmaker Aditya Dhar has maintained a relatively subdued public presence following the success of his directorial venture, Dhurandhar. Earlier this year, his public engagements were primarily tied to his professional obligations.

One notable appearance was at the recent National Film Award ceremony held in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. Both Aditya and Yami were honored at this event, receiving National Awards for their contributions to the film Article 370. Aditya was recognized as a producer, while Yami received accolades for her leading role performance.

Mumbai Residence Linked to 'Dhurandhar'

Before their reported relocation to Himachal Pradesh, Yami and Aditya resided in a spacious rented apartment situated in Khar, West, Mumbai. Interestingly, Aditya had humorously alluded to the specific location of their home during the promotional events for the first installment of his acclaimed 'Dhurandhar' franchise in late 2025.

He had quipped about their address being on Chitrakar Dhurandhar Marg, a street where the couple was living at the time. While the apartment was reportedly rented for an extended period, there were subsequent indications that they might have purchased the property following the commercial success of 'Dhurandhar'.

Protecting Son Vedavid from the Spotlight

Privacy has become an even more critical aspect of Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar's lives since they became parents. The couple welcomed their son, Vedavid, in May 2024.

Since their son's birth, they have made a deliberate effort to shield him from public attention, notably keeping his face hidden from photographs. In September 2025, Yami shared an image featuring Vedavid, but maintained his anonymity by concealing his face, underscoring their commitment to his privacy.
