Actor Prabhas has stepped up to extend financial support to veteran comedian Fish Venkat, who is currently in critical condition

Actor Prabhas has once again demonstrated his generosity by offering financial assistance to veteran Telugu comedian Fish Venkat, who is currently battling a critical kidney condition. Venkat is in the ICU and urgently requires a kidney transplant, with the cost of the procedure estimated at ₹50 lakh.

In an interview with One India, Fish Venkat’s daughter, Sravanthi, emotionally revealed that Prabhas’ team has pledged to cover the full transplant cost. “Daddy is in a serious condition. Prabhas’ assistant reached out and assured us of support. They said they will take care of the expenses when the transplant takes place,” she said.

However, despite this lifeline from Prabhas, the more pressing issue remains the search for a compatible kidney donor. Sravanthi stated that no family members are a match, and their search so far has been unsuccessful. She made an emotional appeal to the Tollywood fraternity, asking stars like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun, and Jr NTR—all of whom have previously worked with Venkat—to help in the search for a donor.

No one seems to care about him now,” she said, highlighting the emotional and financial strain the family is under.

About Fish Venkat:

  • Known for his distinct Telangana slang and comic-villainous roles.
  • Appeared in popular films like Bunny, Adhurs, and Dhee.
  • Earned the nickname “Fish” due to his unique dialect and comic timing.

This situation has shed light on the fragile support system for aging actors in regional cinema. While Prabhas’ timely intervention is being widely lauded, there’s growing public sentiment urging other industry stalwarts to come forward in solidarity.
