Fresh off completing his Hindi romantic drama Tere Ishk Mein, Dhanush has now kicked off his next Tamil venture, tentatively titled D54. Directed by Por Thozhil fame Vignesh Raja, the film officially began production today with the release of a powerful first-look poster.
The poster features Dhanush standing solemnly in a charred cotton field with flames engulfing the backdrop—hinting at a gritty and intense narrative.
The film features rising star Mamitha Baiju (Premalu) as the female lead, marking her Tamil debut. The supporting cast includes Jayaram, KS Ravikumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Karunas, and Prithvi Pandiraj, promising a strong ensemble.
GV Prakash Kumar is scoring the music, reuniting with Dhanush for another potentially memorable soundtrack.
D54 is being jointly produced by Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh under Vels Film International and Think Studios. With the director of one of 2023’s most acclaimed thrillers at the helm and Dhanush in the lead, expectations are already high for this upcoming film.
