SSMB29, the highly anticipated action-adventure film directed by SS Rajamouli and starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, has reportedly had its plot leaked. According to a Tanzanian portal, Mahesh Babu will portray a “rugged explorer” embarking on a high-stakes mission across wild landscapes in search of a world-altering secret. The story is said to be inspired by Indiana Jones and classic African adventure films.
Set against the backdrop of uncharted terrains and ancient legends, the film promises mystery, thrills, and a powerful antagonist. Also starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, the project is being made on a massive budget of $116 million, making it one of India’s most ambitious cinematic ventures.
After filming in Hyderabad and Odisha, the team is now heading to East Africa. Shooting in Tanzania’s Serengeti will begin later this month, following delays due to unrest in Kenya, where filming was originally scheduled.
