Ajay Devgn’s nephew Aaman Devgan to star in horror comedy ‘Jhalak’

The upcoming film Jhalak will be produced under Devgn Films and Panorama Studios, with Umang Vyas, renowned for his direction of the Gujarati hit Jhamkudi, stepping in as the director. The screenplay is written by Tushar Ajgaonkar, celebrated for his work on the horror comedy Munjya.

Ajay Devgn expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “After Shaitaan, we wanted to explore a genre that merges the best of horror and comedy. Jhalak offers the perfect combination, and with such a talented team behind it, we’re sure the audience will love this unique experience.”

Kumar Mangat Pathak, Chairman of Panorama Studios, also shared his excitement: “Jhalak is a project that holds special significance for us, as it continues our collaboration with Devgn Films and brings a fresh, exciting story to the audience. We are confident that this film will resonate with viewers, skillfully blending fear and laughter.”

Currently in pre-production, Jhalak is expected to begin shooting soon. Further details regarding the supporting cast and the film’s release date will be revealed in the coming months.

In a conversation, Aaman shared his experience of working with horses in the film, emphasizing the importance of building a strong bond with the animal for his role. He explained, “There were several scenes involving the horse. We attended workshops and took horse-riding lessons. I even spent time sleeping near the horse, feeding it, and cleaning its stable. Understanding the animal’s energy was vital because horses, unlike humans, don’t follow scripts.”

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Jhalak is a period drama set in pre-independence India and is slated for release on January 17.
