Seminar on Juvenile Justice Act Held in Bhopal for Police Officers
A seminar focusing on the Juvenile Justice Act was conducted on Friday by the Training Branch of Police Headquarters and the Police Academy Bhopal. The event, guided by Sonali Mishra, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) and Director of the Police Academy Bhopal, saw the participation of 34 field police officers from various districts of Madhya Pradesh, including additional superintendents, deputy superintendents, inspectors, and sub-inspectors.

The seminar was inaugurated by Assistant Director Shraddha Joshi. Aqeel Khan, Assistant District Prosecution Officer (STF), provided an in-depth explanation of the Juvenile Justice Act, emphasizing Sections 24 and 14(2) and diversionary measures. Kiran Pendro, head of the Special Juvenile Police Unit (SJPU) in Bhopal, discussed the responsibilities of child welfare officers. Salman Mansoori, state coordinator for Bachpan Bachao Andolan, shared valuable insights on anti-begging initiatives and the practical application of the Juvenile Justice Act based on his extensive 15-year field experience. - Interactive Session:
ADGP Sonali Mishra held an interactive discussion, addressing the objectives of the seminar and exploring challenges faced by officers in implementing the Act. She assured participants of senior-level support to enhance the enforcement of the Juvenile Justice Act. - Event Coordination:
