Chiranjeevi Shuts Down Political Comeback Rumors: “I Am Devoted to Cinema and Charity”

Megastar Chiranjeevi has put an end to speculation about his return to politics, stating that he has no intention of re-entering the political arena. Speaking at the pre-release event of Brahma Anandam in Hyderabad on February 11, the legendary actor addressed recent rumors stemming from his meetings with top political leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Clarifying his stance, Chiranjeevi said, “I will keep myself away from politics and will be devoted to movies. My recent appearances with top leaders of India do not imply that I am making a comeback to politics.” He assured fans that his younger brother, Pawan Kalyan, who currently serves as Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and leads the Jana Sena Party, would fulfill their family’s aspirations in politics.

Chiranjeevi founded the Praja Rajyam Party in 2008 and won 18 seats in the 2009 Andhra Pradesh elections before merging with the Indian National Congress (INC) in 2011. He later served as a Rajya Sabha MP (2012-2018) before retiring from politics and returning to films.

On the work front, Chiranjeevi is gearing up for his next big-screen venture, Vishwambhara, one of the most anticipated Telugu films of 2025.
