A.R. Rahman Discharged from Hospital After Dehydration Scare

Renowned music composer A.R. Rahman has been discharged from Chennai’s Apollo Hospital after being admitted for dehydration. The Oscar-winning musician had been under medical observation following his return from London, where he reportedly felt unwell. Fans worldwide were concerned about his health, but recent updates confirm that he is on the path to recovery.

Rahman’s family initially remained quiet about his condition, but his son, Ameen, later reassured fans through an Instagram post. He explained that his father felt weak due to dehydration, prompting a hospital visit for routine tests. “To all our dear fans, family, and well-wishers, I sincerely thank you for your love, prayers, and support. My father felt a bit weak due to dehydration hence we went ahead and did some routine tests, but I’m happy to share that he is doing well now. Your kind words and blessings mean a lot to us. We truly appreciate your concern and continued support,” Ameen wrote.

A medical bulletin from Apollo Hospital confirmed that Rahman was admitted on Saturday night due to dehydration symptoms. Dr. RK Venkatasalam, the Director of Medical Services, stated that the composer underwent a routine check-up before being discharged.

Doctors further clarified that Rahman had been fasting for Ramzan, which may have contributed to his condition. Fortunately, he is now stable and out of danger. Fans and well-wishers have expressed immense relief at his recovery, hoping for his swift return to music.
