Modern Head Post Office Inaugurated in Ashoknagar
Ashoknagar district in Madhya Pradesh has received a significant upgrade with the formal inauguration of a newly constructed modern head post office by Union Minister of Communications and North Eastern Region Development, Jyotiraditya Scindia. The new building, constructed at a cost of Rs 2.35 crore, adheres to the guidelines of the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. This inauguration promises to provide citizens of the region with high-level postal and financial services in an improved environment.
Enhanced Postal and Financial Services
O.P. Chaturvedi, Superintendent of Post Offices in Guna, stated that this modernization is part of an ambitious initiative by the Government of India. The revamped post office will offer financial and postal services with greater ease to the public. He further added that this is a result of a renovation and beautification project aimed at providing better facilities to citizens.
Digital Revolution to Streamline Postal Services
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia lauded the modernization of the postal department, emphasizing that the new facilities will increase the speed of postal services. He specifically highlighted digital services, clarifying that citizens will no longer need to visit the post office repeatedly for various services. Many services can now be availed from home through the postal service and the 'Dak Mitra App'. This transformation is a crucial step for the postal department's service expansion and the skill development of its employees.

He also participated in tree plantation as part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' (A Tree in Mother's Name) campaign. The inauguration ceremony was attended by BJP District President Alok Tiwari, former MLA Jaipal Singh, Municipal President Neeraj Manoriya, Postmaster General Indore Gaurav Srivastava, senior postal department officials, and many public representatives.
This newly constructed head post office is poised to become a vital pillar in providing reliable and citizen-centric services to local residents in the future.
