Advocates Urged to Unite for Welfare
Shivkishor Gaud, Chairman of the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh, has called upon advocates to rise above personal politics and unite for their collective welfare. He emphasized this point during the oath-taking ceremony of the Advocate General held at the Town Hall complex of Sadar Tehsil on Monday.
New Welfare Schemes Unveiled
During the ceremony, Chairman Shivkishor Gaud made several crucial announcements aimed at improving the lives of advocates. These new initiatives underscore the Bar Council's commitment to the well-being of its members.
Cashless Medical Facility for Senior Advocates
A significant announcement was the introduction of a cashless medical facility of up to ₹5 lakh for advocates who have completed 60 years of age. This move is designed to address the healthcare needs of senior legal professionals and reflects a major step towards their welfare.
Increased Financial Aid for Bereaved Families
Furthermore, the Chairman declared an increase in the financial assistance provided to the dependents of deceased advocates. The aid will now be ₹3 lakh, up from ₹1 lakh, for advocates who pass away at the age of 70. This decision aims to offer substantial financial support to advocate families during challenging times.
Financial Aid for Tehsil Complex Repairs
In addition to welfare schemes for advocates, Mr. Gaud also expressed positive consideration for providing ₹10 lakh in financial assistance for necessary repair works at the Sadar Tehsil complex. This will help in improving the facilities at the tehsil premises.

The oath-taking ceremony was presided over by Jawahar Singh Gangwar, with Munna Yadav alias Ramsanehi Yadav conducting the proceedings. Anurag Pandey, Vice Chairman of the Bar Council, also addressed the gathering.
The event saw the oath-taking of all newly elected officials and executive members, including President Yogesh Chandra Dixit, Senior Vice President Ajay Pratap Singh, Vice President Sanjay Chawla, General Secretary Rajput, Joint Secretary Umashankar Katiyar, and Treasurer Dilip Kumar Saxena.
