Safety Checks Ahead of Festive Season
In anticipation of the upcoming Diwali festival, the district administration in Bhind, Madhya Pradesh, conducted a review of safety arrangements at the firecracker market. Additional Collector Rajan B. Nadiya and Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Patel, accompanied by SDM Bhind Mahendra Saujanya and City Superintendent of Police Niranjan Singh Rajput, jointly inspected the firecracker market set up at the fairgrounds.
During the inspection, vendors were issued stringent safety instructions to prevent any untoward incidents during the festive season. Officials meticulously examined the operation of each stall, the validity of licenses, and essential safety provisions. Vendors were explicitly directed to sell firecrackers only at locations designated by the administration.
Mandatory Safety Measures Enforced
Furthermore, it was made mandatory for each stall to ensure the availability of firefighting equipment, adequate water supply, and sand. Officials warned against smoking, open flames, or unsafe electrical wiring within the shops under any circumstances.
“The joy of Diwali should be celebrated by everyone with safety,” stated Additional Collector Rajan B. Nadiya, emphasizing the importance of adherence to safety standards.
He also warned of strict action against the misuse of licenses and against individuals operating shops under someone else’s license. The Additional Collector appealed to citizens to use firecrackers safely and to closely supervise children.
Increased Vigilance and Enforcement Planned
Meanwhile, Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Patel announced that the police will conduct regular monitoring of markets during the festive season in the coming days. Sufficient police force will be deployed for crowd control and to manage any emergency situations.
The administration clarified that any vendor found violating safety regulations will face strict punitive action, ensuring that the festival concludes safely and without accidents. Officials also instructed that unnecessary crowds should not be allowed to gather around the shops.
