Joint Operation for Passenger Safety

The Regional Transport Department and Traffic Police in Bhind launched a comprehensive, intensive checking campaign at the main bus stand. The objective was to ensure passenger safety and enforce strict adherence to traffic rules.

During the operation, officials thoroughly inspected the essential documents of buses operating on various routes. Operators found in violation of regulations were issued a strong warning of severe action in the future.

Officials Involved and Inspections Conducted

The checking drive included RTO RK Soni, RTO Vishwapratap Singh, TSI Ashok Sharma, Traffic Station In-charge Indrapal Singh, and Mohit Tomar from the traffic police force, among other officials.

The team meticulously scrutinized bus permits, fitness certificates, insurance, pollution control certificates, and driver's licenses. Additionally, directives were issued against overloading buses, stopping only at designated locations, and ensuring all passenger safety arrangements were robust.

Warning Issued on Fines and Seizures

The joint team clarified that the primary aim of this campaign was not to issue challans (fines) but to raise awareness among bus drivers and operators regarding regulations.

Officials emphasized that all operators must maintain complete and valid vehicle documents and adhere to prescribed rules. They warned that any future checks revealing vehicles without permits, without fitness certificates, or instances of overloading would face no leniency.

The Transport Department cautioned that violations of regulations would result in substantial fines, along with strict actions such as vehicle seizure and permit cancellation. Legal proceedings will be initiated against bus operators found to be negligent in the future.
