Addressing the gathering, Vinay Bhadauria, President of the Madhya Pradesh Rajput Samaj, strongly advocated for the abolition of harmful social evils prevalent in the community, such as dowry and post-death feasts (mrityu bhoj).
He appealed to the affluent members of the community to reduce such unnecessary expenditures and redirect these funds towards noble causes like public welfare, the propagation of education, and the conservation of cattle. This initiative marks a significant step towards bringing positive change within society.
New Scholarship Scheme Announced
In a significant announcement, State Organization Minister Hemant Bahadur Singh Parihar provided detailed information about the 'Smriti Scholarship Scheme'. This scheme aims to support economically weaker sections of society.
Under this scheme, meritorious students from economically weaker sections who score 85% or above in Class 10 will receive a monthly scholarship of ₹1,000 for two years of study in Class 11 and 12. Community officials urged affluent members to provide financial assistance for this noble cause, ensuring no deserving student has to discontinue their education due to financial constraints.
