Extensive Afforestation Drive Underway

The Mahiadpur Municipality Council is actively engaged in a comprehensive tree plantation campaign with the aim of transforming the city into a greener space. To date, over 1000 saplings have been planted across various parts of the city, marking a significant stride towards environmental conservation and enhancing the city's aesthetic appeal.

Community Participation in Greening Efforts

On Thursday, a special plantation program was organized on Yashwant Marg in Ward No. 2. In a unique initiative to ensure active citizen involvement, saplings were planted in front of residents' homes. Citizens have been encouraged to 'adopt' these plants, taking responsibility for their protection and care.

'Plant Adoption' Initiative Fosters Responsibility

The primary objective of this 'plant adoption' initiative is to ensure the survival and proper growth of the planted saplings. By fostering a personal connection with the plants, residents' commitment to their conservation is expected to grow significantly. The municipality believes this participatory approach will not only increase greenery but also cultivate environmental awareness within the community.

Prominent Figures Attend Plantation Program

The plantation program was graced by the presence of several dignitaries, including Mahiadpur Municipality President Nanibai Omprakash Mali, Councilor Neha Piyush Saklecha, BJP Nagar Mandal General Secretary Dinesh Gover, Nilesh Solanki, Vice President Nirbhay Singh Bhati, social workers Ramesh Moondat, Ashok Chaurasia, Ashish Saklecha, Raj Kachhwah, and municipal officials Navin Mishra and Yashwant Kharya. Their presence underscored the campaign's importance and inspired local participation.

Future Plans for Greener Mahiadpur

The Mahiadpur Municipality has outlined plans to continue this campaign in the future, aiming to convert more urban areas into green zones.
