Salman Khan & Hrithik Roshan’s VFX-Edited Ad Draws Trolls: Netizens Call It a ‘Rejected Spy Universe Scene’

Ever since Aditya Chopra’s Spy Universe was announced, fans have eagerly anticipated Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Hrithik Roshan sharing screen space. While SRK and Salman have already appeared together in Pathaan and Tiger 3, Hrithik Roshan has remained absent from the crossover. Even in the upcoming War 2, Salman’s cameo seems unlikely.

However, fans recently got a glimpse of Salman and Hrithik together—but in an unexpected way. The duo featured in a soft drink commercial, reportedly directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, but they were never actually together during filming! Instead, VFX and edits were used to place them in the same frame, leading to widespread trolling online.

Netizens Troll the Fake Spy Universe Reunion

Social media users quickly noticed that the ad was heavily edited to make it appear as if Salman and Hrithik were together.

🔹 “Shot separately. The hands coming together are also not Salman and Hrithik’s.”
🔹 “At least edit toh aise karte ki convincing lage ki HR aur Salman ek sath the shoot pe.”
🔹 “This feels like a rejected scene from the Spy Universe. What is this action? Dragging on snow and saying ‘Darr ke aage jeet hai’?!”

Some users even compared it to Ajay Devgn’s Vimal ads, sarcastically calling Vimal Universe a more convincing crossover than this attempt.

Hrithik’s Fake Tan Becomes a Talking Point

Many viewers were distracted by Hrithik Roshan’s oddly orange skin tone in the ad, leading to more trolling:

🔸 “Hrithik, why do you insist on looking like a cheese puff?”
🔸 “Hrithik’s fake tan is so embarrassing.”
🔸 “Why is Hrithik so orange?”

Salman’s ‘AI-Generated’ Look & Lack of Interest

Fans also felt that Salman Khan appeared disinterested in the ad:

🔹 “Salman kahan tha ad ke pehle, achanak se ismein kahan se aa gaya?”
🔹 “Selmon Bhai has started looking like a Kurla version of a Bandra boy.”
🔹 “Salman looks AI-generated.”

Poor VFX & Logic in the Ad

Apart from the fake chemistry, people also criticized the low effort VFX and lack of logic in the ad:

🔸 “Mujhe VFX se darr lag raha hai (I’m scared of this VFX).”
🔸 “Snowy atmosphere mei bottles ice mei kyu rakhni hai?”
🔸 “Why are Mountain Dew and Thums Up marketed as sports drinks when they’re literally just soft drinks?”

Final Thoughts

While Salman and Hrithik’s collaboration in the Spy Universe remains a dream, this ad failed to satisfy fans. Instead of excitement, it became a trolling fest due to poor VFX, awkward edits, and forced chemistry. Whether the two actors will actually share screen space in a film remains to be seen, but for now, this “fake reunion” has only fueled disappointment.
