The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has significantly increased the prize money and scholarship amounts for the top 10 rank holders of the Class 10th or Matric final examination. The results were announced on Saturday, March 29, with a total of 1,55,80,77 students appearing for the exams, out of which 1,27,92,94 students passed, achieving an overall pass percentage of 82.11%.
Enhanced Prize Money for Toppers
- First Rank: ₹2 lakh (previously ₹1 lakh)
- Second Rank: ₹1.5 lakh (previously ₹75,000)
- Third Rank: ₹1 lakh (previously ₹50,000)
- Ranks 4 to 10: ₹20,000 each (previously ₹10,000)
- Additional Awards: Laptops, certificates, and medals
Scholarship Scheme Boost
The Desh Ratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad Merit Scholarship scheme has also been revised. The top 10 rank holders will now receive a monthly scholarship of ₹2,000 instead of ₹1,200.
- Duration:
- Two years (Class 11 and 12) for students enrolling in state/central government institutes
- Till the end of the course for those pursuing technical or diploma programs
