Dwarka, Gujarat | April 7, 2025 — In a deeply personal and spiritual gesture, Anant Ambani, the youngest son of business tycoon Mukesh Ambani, completed a 180-kilometre padyatra from Jamnagar to Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka on Sunday, just days before his 30th birthday.
The journey, which began on March 29, was not just a display of physical determination but an offering of devotion to Lord Krishna. Accompanied by his mother Nita Ambani and wife Radhika Merchant, Anant walked for 6–7 hours daily, covering about 20 km each day, while chanting the Hanuman Chalisa and the Sundarkand chapter.
A Spiritual Test of Faith and Endurance
Anant, who has long battled Cushing’s Syndrome, morbid obesity, and chronic conditions such as asthma, undertook this yatra as a testament to faith over fear, discipline over ease, and devotion over discomfort.
“His walk to Dwarka is not about ritual but about conviction. It is a personal pilgrimage,” said a family spokesperson.
“It shows that faith can carry one forward, surmounting every obstacle.”
Public Support and Personal Milestone
Throughout his spiritual journey, local communities came out in large numbers to support and walk alongside him, turning the personal yatra into a collective expression of faith. Images of villagers walking with Anant and chanting prayers have gone viral on social media.
Anant’s Spiritual Footprint Across India
Beyond this padyatra, Anant Ambani is known for his devout spiritual leanings and philanthropic efforts:
- Trustee of Badrinath and Kedarnath dhams
- Patron of temple restoration, including:
- Kalighat Temple, Kolkata
- Shrinathji Temple, Nathdwara
- Kamakhya Temple, Assam
His efforts have been credited with the revival and upkeep of several significant religious sites across India.
As he prepares to mark his 30th birthday, Anant’s journey stands as a symbol of unwavering faith and resilience. In an age defined by speed and spectacle, his quiet, prayerful walk to the ancient city of Dwarka is a poignant reminder of the power of spiritual purpose.
