Ahead of the release of Kesari Chapter 2, Akshay Kumar took to Instagram to unveil a striking image of himself in Kathakali attire, symbolizing the strength and spirit of his character — C. Sankaran Nair, the iconic lawyer who legally challenged the British Empire after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
“This is not a costume. It’s a symbol — of tradition, of resistance, of truth, of my nation…” Akshay wrote, adding that Nair didn’t wield a weapon, but fought with law and fire in his soul.
In Kathakali, the Pachcha (green face) signifies noble heroes and kings, resonating with the film’s portrayal of Nair as a fearless figure in India’s freedom struggle.
