Babil Khan Exits Sai Rajesh’s Film Amidst Fallout Over Bollywood Criticism

Bollywood actor Babil Khan has officially exited Sai Rajesh’s upcoming Hindi remake of the 2023 Telugu film Baby. Babil confirmed his departure on May 17 via Instagram, expressing mutual respect for the director but citing “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason for stepping away. He added that he would be taking some time off and wished the team well.

Sai Rajesh responded warmly, praising Babil as “one of the most talented and hardworking actors” he had worked with and respecting his decision to prioritize self-care. The director expressed hope they would collaborate again in the future and said he would miss Babil’s presence.

This fallout follows Babil’s emotional Instagram video earlier in May, where he called Bollywood “the fakest industry” and mentioned some celebrities by name, leading to controversy. Babil later clarified that his message was misinterpreted and aimed at supporting his peers.

Meanwhile, Sai Rajesh publicly criticized Babil’s team for what he saw as a lack of respect and called for a sincere apology to move past the issue. He expressed disappointment about being taken for granted despite his support for Babil.
