Popular Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan has been booked by the police for allegedly assaulting his professional manager, Vipin Kumar. The incident reportedly occurred on Monday in the basement parking area of an apartment complex in Kakkanad, Kerala.
According to the complaint filed by Kumar, Mukundan slapped him in the face for recording and posting a review of a film featuring another actor. Kumar further alleged that the actor used abusive language and even issued death threats during the altercation.
Based on the complaint, the police have registered an FIR against the Marco actor under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including:
- 115(2) – Voluntarily causing hurt
- 126(2) – Wrongful restraint
- 296(b) – Obscene acts and songs
- 351(2) – Criminal intimidation
- 324(4) and 324(5) – Mischief
The authorities confirmed that an investigation is currently underway. Unni Mukundan has not yet issued a public statement regarding the allegations.
