He was the chairman of Sona Comstar, a leading global auto components manufacturer headquartered in Gurugram, India. The company, known for its electric vehicle (EV) components, operates across India, China, Mexico, Serbia, and the US, with 12 manufacturing facilities and over 5,000 employees.

Sona Comstar’s 2024–25 financial report revealed a 12% increase in revenue, reaching ₹35.5 billion ($412 million). Notably, EV components made up 36% of the company’s revenue—a testament to Kapur’s vision of adapting to the evolving auto landscape.
