In a landmark announcement for Indian animation and mythology lovers, Hombale Films, in collaboration with Kleem Productions, has officially launched the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe (MCU) – a decade-spanning animated franchise based on the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu.
The cinematic universe will unfold through seven major animated films, beginning with “Mahavatar Narasimha” in 2025 and concluding with “Mahavatar Kalki Part 2” in 2037. The ambitious lineup aims to blend mythology with cutting-edge animation, releasing in 3D and five Indian languages.

The first film, Mahavatar Narasimha, will showcase the epic tale of Lord Vishnu’s half-man, half-lion incarnation who descends to destroy evil and protect his devotee, Prahlad. According to the makers, each film will explore a distinct era and incarnation, capturing the grandeur and spiritual depth of Indian mythology.

Hombale Films, known for producing massive hits like KGF and Kantara, shared their excitement on X (formerly Twitter), stating:
