After making a critically acclaimed comeback with Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan is now all set to thrill fans with a powerful special appearance in Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Coolie. On July 3, the makers officially unveiled Aamir’s first look as ‘Dahaa’, a character that has already taken the internet by storm.
First Look: Rugged and Refined
In the monochrome poster released by Sun Pictures, Aamir appears in a striking side profile — clad in a black vest, sporting glasses, and smoking a pipe — exuding a sharp, intense presence. The caption read:
“Introducing #AamirKhan as Dahaa, from the world of #Coolie. #Coolie is all set to dominate IMAX screens worldwide from August 14th.”
The gritty new look signals a dramatic shift from Aamir’s recent emotional portrayal in Sitaare Zameen Par, showcasing his chameleon-like ability to slip into contrasting roles.
A Cameo Born Out of Respect
In an interview with Zoom, Aamir confirmed the cameo and revealed that his admiration for Rajinikanth prompted an instant “yes.”
“I really enjoyed doing it. I am a huge fan of Rajini sir. I have a lot of love and respect for him. So, I did not even hear the script. When Lokesh told me it was Rajini sir’s movie and he wanted me to do a cameo, I said, ‘Done. I am doing it.’”
While Aamir refrained from disclosing plot details, his appearance is expected to be pivotal to the story’s unfolding.
