Superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie is undoubtedly the most awaited Kollywood film of the year. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the gangster action drama is slated to hit theatres worldwide on August 14, 2025.
The second single from the film, “Monica”, featuring Pooja Hegde and Soubin Shahir, is already making waves on social media, further building anticipation. Meanwhile, the third single, “Power House,” is set to be launched today at a grand event in Hyderabad.
Adding to the buzz, strong speculation in the Tamil media suggests that Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan may lend his voice for a special voiceover in the film. Given his excellent rapport with Lokesh Kanagaraj — following their successful collaboration in Vikram — the iconic actor is expected to say yes without hesitation.
The theatrical trailer of Coolie will be released on August 2. The film boasts a star-studded cast including Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, and more. Backed by Sun Pictures, the film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
