Delhi and Gurugram Police Detain 15 Illegal Bangladeshi Immigrants; Deportation Process Underway

In two separate operations, police authorities in Delhi and Gurugram have detained a total of fifteen Bangladeshi nationals for allegedly residing in India illegally.

On Monday, the Delhi Police arrested five Bangladeshi men who allegedly attempted to forcibly enter the Red Fort premises. According to officials, all five are aged between 20 and 25 years and were working as labourers in the capital. Police recovered Bangladeshi documents from their possession and confirmed that they were living in India without valid documentation. An investigation is currently underway, and the individuals are being interrogated.

In a related incident over the weekend, Gurugram Police detained ten Bangladeshi nationals who were also found to be residing illegally in the city. Identification documents recovered from them confirmed their Bangladeshi nationality.

Sandeep Kumar, the Public Relations Officer of Gurugram Police, stated, “Ten illegal Bangladeshi immigrants have been detained. Bangladeshi documents have been recovered from them. The process to deport them has begun.”

Authorities are continuing efforts to identify and take action against individuals residing in India without legal status.
