The excitement around War 2 has just shot through the roof. Already one of the most anticipated action films of the year, the Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR starrer is now confirmed to be the longest movie in the YRF Spy Universe, clocking in at 2 hours and 53 minutes — and that’s not even counting the post-credit scene.
Certified U/A by the CBFC, the main feature runs for 173 minutes, while its secretive end-credit sequence is being certified separately. This unusual move strongly hints at how significant this bonus scene could be for the larger Spy Universe.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is slated for release on August 14, capitalizing on the Independence Day weekend to pull in huge crowds. Hrithik Roshan returns as Major Kabir Dhaliwal, while Jr. NTR’s role remains tightly under wraps. Kiara Advani also joins the franchise as Kavya Luthra, a high-octane action character rumored to be the daughter of Colonel Luthra (played by Ashutosh Rana).
Adding to the intrigue, reports reveal that the post-credit scene will feature Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Alia Bhatt — along with a major tease for Dhoom 4, setting the stage for another blockbuster chapter in the YRF cinematic universe.
