Ishu Gandhi, Accused in Firing at YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s House, Arrested After Faridabad Encounter

Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi, one of the accused in the firing incident at YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram residence, was arrested early Friday after an encounter with police in Faridabad.

The Encounter

  • Took place under BPTP police station limits in the early hours of Friday.
  • Gandhi allegedly opened fire with an automatic pistol, firing over half a dozen rounds at the police.
  • Police retaliated; Gandhi was shot in the leg and later admitted to hospital.
  • He hails from Jawahar Colony, Faridabad.

The Firing Incident (Aug 17)

  • Around 5:30 am, two masked men sprayed over two dozen bullets outside Yadav’s residence in Sector 57, Gurugram.
  • CCTV footage confirmed at least two attackers, possibly three.
  • Elvish’s father, Ram Avtar Yadav, said over 15 rounds hit their property.

Gangster Link

  • Fugitive gangster Himanshu Bhau’s gang, operating from Portugal, claimed responsibility.
  • Associates Neeraj Faridpur and Bhau Ritoliya issued a warning via social media, accusing Yadav of promoting betting/gambling.
  • The post threatened that those promoting betting could face “a call or a bullet.”

Current Status

  • Police are investigating the gangster angle, with Gandhi’s arrest marking a breakthrough.
