Motihari/Sitamarhi, August 29, 2025:
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of being “scared” after his alleged vote theft was exposed.
“PM Modi dare hue hain (PM Modi is scared) because he knows his vote theft has been caught and now he cannot escape,” Rahul said while addressing the Samvidhan Samman Sammelan during his Voter Adhikar Yatra in Motihari, East Champaran.
“Vote Theft Is an Attack on the Constitution”
Rahul claimed the Prime Minister’s silence on the matter was proof of guilt.
“Modi is keeping quiet because I have caught his vote theft. Why is the Prime Minister silent on this issue?” he asked.
Calling vote theft an attack on the Constitution, the Congress leader asserted he would not allow it to continue. “The people of Bihar have shaken Modi’s confidence,” he declared.
Allegations of Voter List Manipulation
Rahul further alleged that the BJP had systematically deleted names of marginalized communities from electoral rolls.
“In Sitamarhi, they deleted 6.5 million voters’ names during the Special Intensive Revision. Only Dalits, OBCs, EBCs, the poor and minorities have been removed — no rich person’s name has been deleted,” he said.
He accused the BJP of planning to replace these names with “fake voters”, citing a similar strategy in Maharashtra where “10 million fake voters were added” to secure electoral victory.
Tejashwi Yadav Joins Attack
RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, sharing the stage with Rahul, echoed the allegations. He accused the BJP of not just stealing votes but attempting to erase the identity of OBCs, EBCs, Dalits, Mahadalits, and Adivasis.
Expressing pride in his father Lalu Prasad Yadav’s legacy, Tejashwi said, “Before 1990, weaker castes were mistreated. Lalu brought social awakening. Today leaders from backward communities can become chief ministers because of his struggles. Even Nitish Kumar is CM because of Lalu.”
He also predicted that the upcoming assembly polls would be Nitish Kumar’s last election.
INDIA Bloc’s Voter Adhikar Yatra
Rahul Gandhi resumed his Voter Adhikar Yatra from Sitamarhi on Thursday, accompanied by INDIA bloc leaders Tejashwi Yadav (RJD), Dipankar Bhattacharya (CPI-ML), and Mukesh Sahani (VIP).
Before the march, Rahul offered prayers at Maa Janki Temple in Sitamarhi. The Yatra is set to enter West Champaran district on Friday.
