Bhopal – A midnight burglary attempt in Aishbagh’s Jagannath Colony was foiled when family members overpowered the intruder after he attacked a youth who confronted him.
The incident occurred around 1 am on Thursday when Aamir Ali, a construction worker, woke up to a noise in his room and found a man stealing valuables from his cupboard. On trying to stop him, Aamir was attacked and sustained injuries to his head and back.
His cries alerted family members from the first floor, who rushed downstairs, caught hold of the burglar, and handed him over to the police.
The accused has been identified as Saddam Hussain (34), a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Police said he is being interrogated.
