Mumbai, Sept 7 – The Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) against Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, in connection with a ₹60 crore cheating case, officials confirmed on Friday.
The move comes after a complaint was registered at Juhu police station on August 14, alleging that the couple duped a businessman in a loan-cum-investment deal. According to investigators, the LOC was deemed necessary as Shetty and Kundra make frequent international trips.
An LOC is a mechanism used to restrict a person from leaving the country or to track their movements, with alerts issued to immigration and border control points.
The case is under further investigation by the EOW.
