मध्य प्रदेश: गले में कोबरा लटकाकर रील बनाना पड़ा महंगा, सांप बचाने वाले दीपक महावर की मौत

रील बनाने की सनक एक ज़िंदगी पर भारी पड़ गई। मध्य प्रदेश के गुना जिले के राघौगढ़ में रहने वाले 42 वर्षीय सांप रेस्क्यूअर दीपक महावर की सोमवार को ज़हरीले कोबरा के काटने से मौत हो गई। वे वर्षों से सांप पकड़ने और उन्हें सुरक्षित जंगल में छोड़ने का काम करते थे और क्षेत्र में काफी प्रसिद्ध थे। सोमवार दोपहर उन्हें बर्बटपुरा गांव से एक कॉल आया, जहां लोग एक ज़हरीले कोबरे को देखकर घबरा गए थे। दीपक मौके पर पहुंचे और कोबरे को सफलतापूर्वक पकड़ लिया। उसी दौरान उन्हें अपने बेटे के स्कूल से फोन आया कि स्कूल समय से पहले बंद हो गया है और उन्हें बेटे को लेने आना होगा। कोबरा को पकड़ने के बाद दीपक बिना किसी सुरक्षा उपाय के सांप को गले में डालकर बाइक से स्कूल पहुंच गए। वहां मौजूद लोग पहले से ही उनके साहस से प्रभावित थे और कई लोगों ने मोबाइल निकालकर वीडियो बनाना शुरू कर दिया। एक वायरल वीडियो में दीपक मोटरसाइकिल पर बैठे दिखते हैं और उनके गले में कोबरा लिपटा हुआ है। वीडियो में वे सांप को चिढ़ाते हुए भी नज़र आते हैं। रील की शूटिंग के बाद जब दीपक अपने बेटे को लेकर घर लौट रहे थे, तभी चलती बाइक पर कोबरे ने उनके हाथ में काट लिया। कुछ ही देर में वे बेहोश हो गए। उन्हें राघौगढ़ अस्पताल ले जाया गया, फिर गुना जिला अस्पताल रेफर किया गया। इलाज के बाद उन्हें शाम को घर भेज दिया गया, लेकिन आधी रात के बाद उनकी तबीयत अचानक बिगड़ गई। दोबारा अस्पताल ले जाया गया, जहां इलाज शुरू होने से पहले ही उनकी मौत हो गई। मंगलवार को पोस्टमार्टम के बाद उनका शव परिजनों को सौंप दिया गया। दीपक महावर ने अपने जीवन में सैकड़ों सांपों को रेस्क्यू कर सुरक्षित रूप से जंगल में छोड़ा था और इलाके में उन्हें बेहद सम्मान की दृष्टि से देखा जाता था। इस घटना से उठते अहम सवाल: यह घटना हमें याद दिलाती है कि जान जोखिम में डालकर सोशल मीडिया पर वाहवाही बटोरना कितनी खतरनाक कीमत वसूल सकता है।

Air India Crash: Fuel Switches Turned Off Seconds After Takeoff, Crew Actions Under Scrutiny

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) of India, in its preliminary report released Saturday, confirmed that both engine fuel switches moved from “run” to “cutoff” just after takeoff, one second apart. However, the report did not specify how or why the switches were flipped. Immediately after liftoff, CCTV footage showed the deployment of a backup power source known as a ram air turbine—an emergency system triggered by power loss, indicating both engines had stopped producing thrust. Cockpit voice recordings captured one pilot asking the other why the fuel had been cut, with the other responding that he had not done so. With no fuel flowing, the aircraft climbed to just 650 feet before losing altitude. Although the pilots switched the fuel controls back to “run” and the aircraft attempted an automatic engine restart, it was too low and slow to recover. The plane clipped trees and a chimney before crashing in a fireball into a building on a nearby medical college campus. The crash killed 241 of the 242 people onboard and 19 on the ground. In an internal memo dated July 14, 2025, Air India CEO Campbell Wilson stated that the AAIB report found no mechanical or maintenance failures, and that all maintenance had been performed as required. The report did not include any safety recommendations for Boeing or GE, the engine manufacturer. Following the report’s release, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Boeing issued internal notices reaffirming the safety of the fuel switch locking mechanisms on Boeing aircraft. Aviation safety expert John Nance told Reuters that the circumstantial evidence increasingly points to a crew member having unintentionally or mistakenly switched off the fuel supply. However, investigators are continuing to explore all possibilities and contributing factors—a process that could take months. Under international aviation standards, a final report is expected within a year of the incident. The crash has renewed calls for the installation of cockpit image recorders, which would have provided valuable visual context to investigators. Meanwhile, Air India is also facing scrutiny on other fronts, with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency planning to investigate Air India Express over allegations of delayed compliance with engine part replacements and falsification of maintenance records.

स्वच्छता में एक बार फिर इंदौर ने बाज़ी मार ली है। सरकार के वार्षिक स्वच्छता सर्वेक्षण स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण 2024-25 में इंदौर ने लगातार आठवीं बार देश का सबसे स्वच्छ शहर बनने का गौरव हासिल किया। इसके बाद दूसरे और तीसरे स्थान पर क्रमशः सूरत और नवी मुंबई रहे। 3 से 10 लाख की आबादी वाले शहरों की श्रेणी में नोएडा को सबसे स्वच्छ शहर घोषित किया गया, जबकि चंडीगढ़ और मैसूर ने क्रमशः दूसरा और तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया। राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने दिल्ली के विज्ञान भवन में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में आवास और शहरी कार्य मंत्रालय (MoHUA) द्वारा विजेताओं को स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण 2024-25 पुरस्कार प्रदान किए। इस अवसर पर कई नगर निगमों, स्वच्छता कर्मियों और नागरिक प्रतिनिधियों को भी सम्मानित किया गया। सरकार के अनुसार, स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण का मुख्य उद्देश्य व्यापक नागरिक भागीदारी को प्रोत्साहित करना और समाज के सभी वर्गों में स्वच्छता के प्रति जागरूकता फैलाना है, ताकि शहरों को रहने योग्य और बेहतर बनाया जा सके। यह सर्वेक्षण अब अपने नवें वर्ष में प्रवेश कर चुका है। 2024-25 के संस्करण में 4,500 से अधिक शहरों को शामिल किया गया। इस बार 10 मानकों और 54 संकेतकों के आधार पर शहरी स्वच्छता, कचरा प्रबंधन और सेवा वितरण की गुणवत्ता का मूल्यांकन किया गया। केंद्र सरकार ने बताया कि इस बार स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण 2024-25 को एक “स्मार्ट और संरचित ढंग” से अंजाम दिया गया, ताकि शहरी स्वच्छता का सटीक और पारदर्शी मूल्यांकन किया जा सके।

Fauja Singh Hit-and-Run Case: NRI Amritpal Singh Dhillon Arrested for Causing Death of 114-Year-Old Marathon Legend

The incident occurred around 3 PM on July 14 in Beas village, where Fauja Singh had gone for his routine post-lunch walk. According to the police, Dhillon was driving a white Toyota Fortuner SUV at high speed when he hit the elderly athlete. Shockingly, instead of helping the injured Singh, Dhillon fled the scene and hid the vehicle in a garage. Singh was rushed to Shriman Hospital but succumbed to his injuries around 7 PM. Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural), Harvinder Singh Virk, confirmed that Dhillon was arrested from his house. “He works in Canada and had returned to India on June 23 for the construction of his house. After watching the news, he realized that the person he had hit was none other than Fauja Singh,” Virk said. Dhillon’s mother and sister are settled in Canada, and he is a resident of Dasupur in Kartarpur. The arrest came after police identified the SUV through a list of suspect vehicles. The Fortuner was originally registered to Varinder Singh, a Kapurthala resident, who revealed during questioning that he had sold the car to Dhillon two years ago. Witnesses from the village reported that the force of the impact tossed Fauja Singh 5 to 7 feet into the air. The FIR registered against Dhillon includes Section 281 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and Section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The passing of Fauja Singh, who inspired millions worldwide with his late-blooming marathon career and vibrant spirit, has left a void in the world of athletics and among admirers globally.
