Look at all the guns she has got surrounding her,” he commented in the video, suggesting the area or her presence there involved high-level risk or significance. High-Profile Access in Pakistan The video adds to the growing list of red flags around Malhotra’s repeated trips to Pakistan, where she was reportedly invited to exclusive events involving individuals from Pakistan’s security and intelligence networks. The identity and affiliation of the armed men seen escorting her are now under scrutiny. Additionally, a man named Harkirat from Kurukshetra has been summoned for questioning in connection with the case. Next Steps Jyoti Malhotra will be produced in court today, as her current police custody ends. Investigators continue to probe the scope of her alleged network and the extent of data shared, especially during times of heightened military activity between India and Pakistan. This case is part of a larger national security concern following recent tensions between the two nations, notably after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and India’s retaliatory Operation Sindoor on May 7. Authorities are likely to press for judicial custody next as they deepen the probe into cross-border espionage and digital intelligence leaks.

🏏 Virat Kohli Sets World Record with 800 Fours for RCB in T20 Cricket

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) legend Virat Kohli has etched his name into the record books yet again, achieving a historic feat in T20 cricket. The veteran batter, synonymous with the RCB franchise since the inception of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008, has now become the first cricketer in the world to smash 800 fours for a single team in T20s. The landmark was reached during RCB’s 13th match of the IPL 2025 season against Sunrisers Hyderabad. While chasing a mammoth target of 232 runs, Kohli delivered a quickfire 43 off 25 balls, hitting seven boundaries and a six. He reached the milestone in style, dispatching Harshal Patel over mid-off for a four in the fourth over, which marked his 800th four for RCB. Kohli’s loyalty and consistency with RCB is unmatched — he is the only player to represent a single franchise in all 18 IPL seasons. His tally of 801 fours is now the highest by any cricketer for a single team in T20s, leaving behind the likes of James Vince (694 for Hampshire) and Alex Hales (563 for Nottinghamshire). Despite his fluent start, Kohli couldn’t carry on for long, falling in the seventh over to Harsh Dubey, caught at backward point while attempting to counter the left-arm spinner’s extra bounce. The knock also saw Kohli narrowly miss out on multiple major milestones: RCB, despite a promising chase, collapsed dramatically in the death overs, losing their last five wickets for just 15 runs and eventually falling short by 42 runs against SRH. Nonetheless, Kohli’s legacy continues to grow, with his latest record further solidifying his status as one of T20 cricket’s all-time greats.

Germany Recognises India’s Right to Self-Defence After Pahalgam Terror Attack: Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar stated on Friday, 24 May, that Germany has recognised India’s right to defend itself against terrorism, following the recent Pahalgam terror attack and the Indian response through Operation Sindoor. Speaking at the German Council on Foreign Relations, Jaishankar highlighted that the international community, including Germany, has shown strong solidarity with India on the issue. “When it comes to terrorism, today, there is virtually no country which would say they approve of what was done and won’t condemn it,” he remarked. Stressing India’s sovereign right to protect its citizens, he added, “If I say I have the right to defend myself, my people, and secure my country, much of the world will agree with me. Germany does.” Jaishankar appreciated Germany’s swift and unequivocal condemnation of the terrorist attack, noting that German Minister Wadephul had reaffirmed this stance on May 7 and again during the present interaction. Describing the terror incident as part of a larger strategy to destabilise India, he explained that the objective was to instill fear, disrupt Kashmir’s tourism economy, and sow religious discord. Jaishankar further noted the cross-border nature of the threat, stating that terrorism has long been a tool employed by India’s neighbour. “Our response was strictly against terrorism,” he said, clarifying that the targets were terror headquarters and sites, and that India’s actions had been widely understood and supported by the international community. “In this case, terrorists happen to be located in the country next door because that country, for many years, has used terrorism as a tool,” he asserted. Marking 25 years of strategic partnership between India and Germany, Jaishankar also outlined potential areas for enhanced cooperation, including defence, talent mobility, digital technologies, and green growth. “A good start would be defence and security,” he said, adding that both countries recognize the mutual value they bring to such collaborations. He concluded by stressing the importance of stronger India-EU ties in a time of growing geopolitical challenges, stating that the India-Germany relationship has become more significant than ever before.
