Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been summoned by a Lucknow court on March 24 regarding his alleged defamatory remarks against the Indian Army during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in 2022, as per PTI reports. On February 11, a special court heard the matter and scheduled the next hearing for February 24, where a witness will be cross-examined. Despite multiple proceedings over the past five years, Gandhi had not appeared in court until December 2023, when a warrant was issued. Acharya Satendra Kumar Das, the chief priest of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, passed away at the age of 85.
