The mission aims to integrate various agricultural and allied sector schemes on a common platform to maximize benefits for farmers. A senior official stated that the mission will merge select schemes from agriculture, horticulture, veterinary, and fisheries departments to provide holistic support. Initially named Krishak Kalyan Mission, it was later rebranded to emphasize the role of Annadata (food providers). Mumbai: A team of five police officers arrived at YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia’s Versova residence on Wednesday afternoon as outrage mounted over his controversial “sex with parents” remark. Multiple cases have been registered against him nationwide, and the parliamentary standing committee on communication and information technology is reportedly considering summoning him. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi condemned the remarks, stating that crossing limits in the name of comedy was unacceptable and vowing to raise the matter in Parliament. Controversial Remarks Spark Outrage The backlash stems from Allahbadia’s appearance on comedian Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent, where his crude questions shocked audiences. Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor V.K. Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has resigned from his post, handing over his resignation letter to state governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan. Singh, who was accompanied by state BJP president A. Sharda, BJP’s North East Manipur in-charge Sambit Patra, and at least 19 MLAs, stated, “It has been an honour to serve the people of Manipur so far.” In his resignation letter, Singh expressed gratitude to the central government for its interventions and developmental efforts in the state. Since ethnic clashes erupted in May 2023, over 250 people have lost their lives, and thousands have been displaced.
