Amitabh Bachchan’s Juhu Bungalow Prateeksha Submerged in Heavy Mumbai Rains

The relentless downpour in Mumbai has brought large parts of the city to a standstill, with flooding, traffic jams and power outages reported across several areas. Among the properties hit by severe waterlogging is Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic bungalow, Prateeksha, located in Juhu. Viral Videos Show Waterlogged Premises Photos and videos of rainwater flooding the premises of the ₹50 crore property have gone viral on social media. Content creators and curious onlookers gathered outside the residence, turning the incident into a tourist attraction. One user on X (formerly Twitter) shared visuals from outside and inside the bungalow, offering a glimpse of the parking area and surrounding premises submerged in water. However, security staff quickly escorted him out. Another user posted pictures highlighting the heavy accumulation of rainwater outside the gates of Prateeksha. A Home Full of Memories Prateeksha holds a special place in the Bachchan family’s legacy. It was the first home Amitabh Bachchan purchased in Mumbai after the success of Sholay (1975). He lived there with his parents, and the bungalow later became the venue for Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s grand wedding in 2007. Today, the superstar owns three bungalows in Mumbai—Jalsa, Janak and Prateeksha. A few years ago, he gifted Prateeksha to his daughter Shweta Nanda. Located just a kilometre from Jalsa, the property is valued at ₹50 crore.

Fan Disguises as Zomato Delivery Boy to Enter Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat, Fails Hilariously

Shah Rukh Khan, fondly known as King Khan, is adored by millions of fans who often go to extreme lengths just to catch a glimpse of him. In a recent viral incident, social media influencer Shubham Prajapat attempted to sneak into the superstar’s residence, Mannat, by pretending to be a Zomato delivery boy. The Plan The video, now widely shared on social media, opens with Shubham standing outside Mannat, expressing his desire to meet SRK. When security stopped him at the main gate, he came up with a creative plan. He ordered two cold coffees through Zomato—one for himself and one supposedly for Shah Rukh Khan. When the real delivery agent arrived, Shubham convinced him to lend him the delivery bag so he could take the order forward. With the bag slung over his shoulder, Shubham confidently approached Mannat’s main gate, hoping to pass off as a delivery guy. The Failed Attempt The front gate guard, however, did not allow him entry. Instead, he directed Shubham to a so-called “secret back door” used for discreet entries. Excited, Shubham rushed there, believing his plan was finally working. At the back entrance, he once again claimed to be delivering coffee, but this time the guard asked him to call the person who had placed the order. When Shubham couldn’t produce any proof, his plan collapsed. Adding a touch of humor, the guard quipped:“Ek phone karega toh poora coffee wala nachega uske saamne.”(If Shah Rukh Khan himself were to make a call, every coffee seller would dance in front of him.) The clip has left fans amused, with many praising Shubham’s creativity while laughing at the lighthearted way the guards handled the situation.

Firing Outside YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s House in Gurugram, Himanshu Bhau Gang Claims Responsibility

A firing incident took place outside the residence of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in Gurugram’s upscale Sector 56 locality on Sunday morning. According to police, the firing occurred between 5:30 am and 6:00 am, when Yadav was not present at home. No injuries were reported. The Gurugram police PRO said three men on a motorcycle carried out the firing, targeting the ground and first floor of the building. Soon after the incident, a post appeared on Instagram in which the notorious Himanshu Bhau gang claimed responsibility. The post accused Elvish Yadav of promoting gambling and warned others against such activities. “Today’s firing at Elvish Yadav’s house was carried out by Neeraj Faridpur and Bhau Ritoliya… Whoever promotes betting can get a call or a bullet anytime,” the post read. The authenticity of the post could not be independently verified. Police are currently scanning CCTV footage and have launched a probe. This incident comes a month after Haryanvi singer and rapper Rahul Yadav, popularly known as Fazilpuria, survived a firing attack on his car in Gurugram. His associate Rohit Shaukeen was killed in that attack, which was also claimed by gangster Sunil Sardhania of the Himanshu Bhau gang. Himanshu Bhau, believed to be an associate of jailed gangster Neeraj Bawana, faces over 30 criminal cases including murder, extortion, and attempted murder. A fugitive who allegedly escaped from a juvenile correctional facility at the age of 17, he is suspected to be operating his gang from the US. His group has been linked to several high-profile crimes, including a shooting at Burger King in Delhi’s Rajouri Garden last year. Interpol has issued a red notice against him. The gang is considered an ally of the Bambiha gang, a rival of the Bishnoi gang, and has an ongoing rivalry with jailed gangster Ankit Baba of Haryana’s Ritoliya. Following Sunday’s attack, Elvish Yadav’s father, Ramavtar Yadav, lodged an FIR stating that the attackers fired indiscriminately at their house. “This attack was on our family. If we had been outside at that time, we could have lost our lives,” the FIR reads, urging police to ensure the family’s safety.

War 2 – Bigger, Louder, but Nowhere Near Better

War 2 tries to up the ante for Bollywood’s Spy Universe, but ends up proving that scale without substance is just noise in Dolby Atmos. Ayan Mukerji swaps his usual flair for human moments with postcard tourism and physics-defying stunts that are more parody than thrill. The Story (sort of):Somewhere in this globetrotting blur, there’s a mission involving patriotism, betrayal, and a cartel that’s supposed to be menacing but instead feels like a filler villain in a video game. Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir and Jr NTR’s mystery agent have the charisma to carry action, romance, or drama — but here, they’re reduced to moving action figures in a screenplay that keeps changing its mind about what it’s trying to say. The Action:Yes, there are fights on planes, under water, in snow, on trains, inside fire — but none of them land with weight or wit. When NTR survives a near-heart shot and wakes up without so much as a ruffled chest hair, or when Hrithik and Kiara leap from a bullet-riddled jeep glowing with pristine headlights, you start laughing at the stunts instead of with them. Poor CGI and suspiciously flawless six-packs don’t help. Performances: Direction & Style:Mukerji’s strategy seems to be: if the plot’s not working, distract with locations. So we hop from India to Spain to Russia to Switzerland, with Manali thrown in, making the film feel like a travel ad with random explosions. It’s spectacle for spectacle’s sake — expensive, yes, but narratively empty. The Verdict:War 2 isn’t just a step down from War, it risks deflating the entire YRF Spy Universe. All gloss, no grit, and certainly no memorable hook — it’s a film that mistakes louder for better, and global for grand. By the end, neither the villains’ plan nor the heroes’ invincibility matters. It’s just an overlong, overproduced postcard from nowhere. If the Spy Universe wants to survive, it needs stories worth telling — not just bulletproof cheekbones and international hotel bills.

Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra Booked for Allegedly Cheating Businessman of Over ₹60 Crore

Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra have been booked by the Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) for allegedly cheating a city-based businessman of more than ₹60 crore under the pretext of a business investment. Details of the CaseThe FIR, filed at Juhu Police Station, is based on a complaint by Deepak Kothari (60), director of Lotus Capital Financial Services. Kothari alleged that between 2015 and 2023, he transferred ₹60.48 crore to the couple’s company, Best Deal TV Pvt. Ltd., for business expansion. However, the funds were allegedly diverted for personal use. According to police, Kothari was introduced to Raj Kundra through a mutual friend. At the time, Kundra and Shetty jointly held 87.6% shares in Best Deal TV, an online shopping and retail platform. The accused had allegedly promised him a monthly return along with repayment of the principal investment. Kothari further stated that Shetty resigned from the company in 2016, and he later discovered that insolvency proceedings had been initiated against the firm for allegedly cheating another investor. Following a preliminary inquiry, the EOW registered the case under IPC sections 403 (dishonest misappropriation of property), 406 (criminal breach of trust), and 34 (common intention) against Shetty, Kundra, and another individual.

Monica Bellucci Praises Pooja Hegde for Coolie Song “Monica”

Italian actress Monica Bellucci has given her seal of approval to Pooja Hegde’s performance in the dance track Monica from the upcoming Rajinikanth film Coolie. In a interview, Pooja learned that Bellucci had watched the track and said she was “loving it.” Fans have also highlighted Soubin Shahir’s cameo in the song, praising the Kumbalangi Nights actor’s infectious energy on the dance floor. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in his seventh outing, Coolie features a star ensemble: Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Aamir Khan. With a release date of August 14, the film is set for a major box-office clash with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2. Independence Day Box Office Clash: ‘Coolie’ Surges Ahead of ‘War 2’ in Advance Sales

The August 14 release battle between Rajinikanth’s “Coolie” and Hrithik Roshan–Jr NTR’s “War 2” is turning into a one-sided race in early ticket sales, with Coolie establishing a commanding lead. According to Sacnilk reports, Coolie has already raked in ₹26.55 crore in advance bookings — jumping to ₹34.89 crore when blocked seats are included. The Tamil version is the main engine of this success, contributing a massive ₹22.70 crore, followed by the Telugu version at ₹3.07 crore, Hindi at ₹71.87 lakh, and Kannada at ₹5.38 lakh. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the action-packed entertainer features a powerhouse ensemble: Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Shruti Haasan, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, and Aamir Khan. In contrast, War 2 — helmed by Ayan Mukerji and starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana, and Anil Kapoor — has sold about ₹9.47 crore worth of tickets in advance, climbing to ₹17.66 crore with blocked seats. While it remains strong in the Hindi-speaking belt, its all-language tally lags far behind Coolie’s Tamil-driven dominance. Notably, the Tamil version of Coolie alone has outgrossed War 2’s total advance sales. Combined, the two films have already generated ₹52.55 crore in advance bookings — with one full day left, trade experts anticipate further spikes, potentially pushing this festival weekend into record-breaking territory.

KBC’s Independence Day Special Featuring Operation Sindoor Officers Sparks Protocol and PR Debate

A teaser for the August 15 Independence Day episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati has triggered a heated discussion online after it showcased Colonel Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh — both of whom led official media briefings during Operation Sindoor — appearing in full uniform on the reality show. The special episode will also feature Commander Prerna Deosthalee, the first woman officer to command an Indian Navy warship. Host Amitabh Bachchan is seen giving the officers a grand welcome, with Col. Qureshi explaining the rationale behind the post-Pahalgam attack military operation: “Pakistan has been carrying out such (terror) acts repeatedly. A response was necessary, and that’s why Operation Sindoor was planned.” While some hailed the episode as a fitting tribute, many social media users criticised it as politicisation of the armed forces and an attempt at “PR” for the government. Critics also questioned whether such an appearance was permitted under armed forces protocol. Army dress regulations explicitly bar wearing the uniform at cultural events, social gatherings, or while travelling in civilian settings, unless written authorisation is given by a commanding officer. Wearing it for non-official activities is generally prohibited. Several netizens compared the situation to Malayalam actor Mohanlal’s earlier controversy, when he was accused of misusing his honorary Lieutenant Colonel uniform in government ads — charges he denied. The debate now centres on whether the officers’ participation — especially in operational context while in service uniform — respects or breaches military protocol and the apolitical standing of the armed forces.
