Director Sailesh Kolanu Disappointed Over HIT: The Third Case Spoilers

Filmmaker Criticizes Media Leaks Sailesh Kolanu, the director of Nani’s upcoming thriller HIT: The Third Case, has expressed disappointment over media leaks that revealed key details from the film. He took to social media to address the issue, emphasizing the effort that goes into crafting cinematic surprises. A Plea for Ethics in Journalism In his post on X, Sailesh highlighted the dedication of the film’s team, stating, “For every single moment of excitement in the cinemas, there is a story of a huge team working relentlessly for days and nights, beyond their physical capabilities, to create that moment of impact.” He criticized certain media outlets for disregarding the audience’s experience by revealing crucial plot points ahead of the film’s release. Call for Responsible Reporting Acknowledging that journalists strive to report first, he questioned the ethics behind such leaks. He recalled a time when journalists exercised judgment and refrained from reporting sensitive details out of respect for the craft. “There are moments in history where journalists rose above their job description and chose not to report certain events because it wasn’t right. I wish some people today had that class,” he lamented. Leaking Movie Details is “Stealing from the Audience” Sailesh further equated such reporting to stealing the film crew’s hard work and, more importantly, robbing the audience of an immersive theater experience. He urged media professionals to be more considerate and responsible in their coverage. About HIT: The Third Case Starring Nani as the intense cop Arjun Sarkaar, the film is the third installment in the HIT universe and has generated immense buzz among fans. Directed by Sailesh Kolanu and produced by Prashanthi Tipirneni, the movie features Srinidhi Shetty in a leading role, with music composed by Mickey J Meyer and cinematography by Sanu John Varghese. HIT: The Third Case is slated for a worldwide release on May 1, 2025.

‘Test’ Movie Review: A Promising Premise Undone by Weak Execution

A Thought-Provoking Theme with Underwhelming Execution“The world doesn’t exist in binary, it’s f*****g unreasonable,” says Madhavan’s character in one of the key moments in Test. This line encapsulates the essence of the film, which attempts to explore the complexities of human nature. People are not just black and white but rather a mix of shades of grey. Over the course of two hours and 25 minutes, Test delves into the intertwined lives of Arjun, Saravanan, and Kumudha, but ultimately fails to make a lasting impact. A Web of Characters and ConflictsThe film follows Kumudha (Nayanthara), a teacher and housewife who supports her husband Saravanan (Madhavan). Saravanan, who runs a canteen, is also striving to get his alternate fuel technology project approved by the government. Meanwhile, cricketer Arjun Venkatraman (Siddharth), an out-of-form batsman, is preparing for what could be his last chance at glory—the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan Test match in Chepauk. Adding to the drama, local bookies orchestrate match-fixing schemes, while police officers, acting on a tip-off, attempt to crack down on corruption. As the high-stakes game unfolds, the paths of Kumudha, Saravanan, and Arjun unexpectedly converge, creating an intense moral conflict. A Story That Slowly Unravels into ChaosWhile Test sets up an intriguing premise, the narrative soon spirals into confusion. The film repeatedly emphasizes that one’s success often comes at the cost of another’s failure, but the storytelling lacks the emotional depth needed to drive this message home. The subplot involving match-fixing and the police investigation feels disjointed, with the law enforcement angle coming across as unconvincing. The screenplay struggles to make the audience feel connected to its characters. Arjun, for instance, is emotionally distant from his wife, Padma (Meera Jasmine), and his son. His stoic expression remains unchanged throughout the film, whether in moments of tension or emotion. Madhavan, on the other hand, appears to overact in key moments, making his character’s transformation feel abrupt rather than moving. Kumudha is arguably the most relatable character in Test, yet her story arc remains underdeveloped. Convenient Plot Twists and a Bloated RuntimeOne of the biggest issues with Test is its overly convenient storytelling. The way the three main characters’ lives intersect feels far too coincidental to be believable. Additionally, the film’s runtime becomes a hindrance. At two hours and 25 minutes, the third act drags, making it difficult for the audience to stay engaged. Strong Technical Aspects, But Not Enough to Save the FilmDespite its shortcomings, Test does have some redeeming qualities. Composer Shaktishree Gopalan’s music adds depth to key moments, while cinematographer Viraj Singh Gohil crafts visually striking frames. TS Suresh’s editing works well with other technical aspects, but these strengths cannot compensate for the film’s structural weaknesses. Final Verdict: A Missed OpportunityDirector Sashikanth’s Test sets out to explore how people’s moral compass shifts during times of crisis. While the concept is promising, the execution falls short. The film’s underwhelming character arcs, unconvincing storytelling, and overstretched runtime make it a disappointing watch despite its ambitious premise.

The Rajya Sabha also witnessed intense discussions before passing the Bill with a final count of 128 votes in favor and 95 against. The Opposition labeled the Bill “anti-Muslim” and “unconstitutional,” while the government defended it as a “historic reform” aimed at benefiting the minority community. PHQ Issues Show Cause Notices to 60 Policemen Over Medical Bill Scam

The Police Headquarters (PHQ) has issued show cause notices to 60 police personnel for allegedly withdrawing reimbursements for their medical bills multiple times. Officials revealed on Thursday that the financial scam may exceed ₹4 crore after the submission of replies by the accused personnel. Medical Bill Irregularities Uncovered In January this year, the PHQ accounts department detected irregularities in medical bill claims submitted by police personnel. Following an internal inquiry, the PHQ took immediate action by suspending three officers and forming a five-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter. Upon scrutinizing the submitted and withdrawn medical bills, investigators found that several policemen, posted across different sections and departments, had submitted prolonged medical expenses more than three times. Consequently, the implicated personnel have been directed to submit their responses in the first week of April. Verification of Health Certificates To further investigate the legitimacy of these claims, the PHQ has reached out to the civil surgeon of JP Hospital, requesting verification of the health certificates issued by the hospital. A list containing over 75 personnel has been shared with the hospital authorities, and a detailed report is expected soon. Personnel Asked to Reveal Medical Certificate Details The accused police personnel have been asked to provide complete details regarding their medical certificates. The PHQ seeks to determine where the certificates were obtained, whether any commission was paid to secure them, and to differentiate between genuine and fraudulent certificates. Financial Irregularities May Exceed ₹4 Crore DIG Accounts Santosh Singh Gaur stated that police personnel who received illegal reimbursements will be required to return the amount. In case of non-compliance, the money will be deducted from their salaries. Officials have warned that those found guilty will face strict action. Gaur further noted that the total financial anomalies in the scam could surpass ₹4 crore. Treasury Department Employees Also Under Scrutiny Alongside the police personnel, PHQ officials have raised concerns about the role of treasury department employees in facilitating these fraudulent transactions. Allegations suggest that several bills were approved after minor modifications, such as changing fonts or making small adjustments. In some cases, police personnel allegedly submitted the same bill twice within a 15-minute window and withdrew the reimbursement amount immediately. Investigators are now examining the involvement of treasury officials in the scam, as their actions enabled the financial misappropriation.
