ED Raids Former Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj in Hospital Construction Scam Case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, conducted searches at 13 locations in Delhi-NCR, including the residence of former Delhi Health Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bhardwaj, in connection with the alleged hospital construction scam, agency sources said. The action, carried out under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), stems from a case registered by Delhi’s Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) in June 2025 against former Health Ministers, private contractors, and unidentified government officials. According to investigators, the projects were marred by: Sources said the ED teams searched Bhardwaj’s residence along with offices and homes of contractors, looking for evidence of fund siphoning and laundering. The ACB probe was initiated after the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) approved an inquiry against Saurabh Bhardwaj and former Health Minister Satyendar Jain. The request was forwarded by Delhi Lieutenant-Governor V.K. Saxena in May. Five Journalists Killed in Israeli Strike on Nasser Hospital in Gaza

भोपाल में फ्लाईओवरों के नीचे कब्जों का बोलबाला, गडकरी की सलाह पर नहीं हुआ अमल

केंद्रीय मंत्री नितिन गडकरी की इस सलाह के बावजूद कि फ्लाईओवरों और रोड ओवरब्रिज (ROB) के नीचे की खाली जगहों का उपयोग खेल सुविधाओं जैसे बास्केटबॉल कोर्ट बनाने में किया जाए, राजधानी भोपाल में अधिकांश फ्लाईओवरों और ROB के नीचे अब भी शराब की दुकानें, अस्थायी बाजार और झुग्गियाँ कब्जा जमाए हुए हैं। हाल ही में जबलपुर में मध्यप्रदेश का सबसे बड़ा फ्लाईओवर उद्घाटन के दौरान गडकरी ने नगर निगमों और स्थानीय निकायों से आग्रह किया था कि फ्लाईओवरों के नीचे खेल परिसर या सार्वजनिक सुविधाएँ विकसित करें, ताकि शहरी क्षेत्रों में स्वस्थ माहौल बन सके। लेकिन भोपाल में हकीकत इसके उलट है और अनधिकृत कब्जे लगातार बढ़ते जा रहे हैं। डॉ. आंबेडकर फ्लाईओवर और सावरकर सेतु ROB को छोड़ दें तो लगभग हर फ्लाईओवर के नीचे कब्जे देखे जा सकते हैं। सुल्तानिया रोड फ्लाईओवर (कोहे-फिज़ा थाने के पास) के नीचे वर्षों से एक अस्थायी शराब की दुकान चल रही है। चेतक ब्रिज के नीचे 10–12 दुकानों का बाजार बन चुका है। वहीं सुभाष ROB के नीचे किराना दुकान और करीब 15 लोगों की झुग्गी बस्ती खड़ी हो गई है। अधिकारियों का कहना है कि इनमें से कई अस्थायी दुकानें दशकों से यहाँ मौजूद हैं। पूर्व जिला आबकारी अधिकारी विवेक त्रिपाठी ने शराब दुकानों को लाइसेंस देने का बचाव करते हुए कहा कि विभाग को “गैर-विवादित जगहें” चाहिए होती हैं और सत्यापन के बाद सीमित शर्तों के तहत दुकानों को अनुमति दी जाती है। लालघाटी पर कार्रवाई लालघाटी चौराहे पर एनएचएआई के फ्लाईओवर के नीचे स्थित अस्थायी शराब दुकान को हाल ही में हटा दिया गया है। राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण (NHAI) और भोपाल नगर निगम (BMC) ने मिलकर वहाँ एक सार्वजनिक पार्क विकसित करने का काम शुरू किया है, जिसमें बैठने की व्यवस्था भी होगी। एनएचएआई के महाप्रबंधक श्रवण कुमार सिंह ने कहा, “फ्लाईओवरों का स्वामित्व राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण के पास है, लेकिन उनके नीचे की जगह का उपयोग और सौंदर्यीकरण स्थानीय निकायों की जिम्मेदारी है।” भोपाल नगर निगम अध्यक्ष किशन सूर्यवंशी ने कहा, “लालघाटी स्क्वायर पर सौंदर्यीकरण का काम शुरू हो गया है। यहाँ पार्क बनाया जा रहा है और हम सुनिश्चित करेंगे कि शहर में बनने वाले नए फ्लाईओवर और ROB पर कब्जे न हों।”

ऐशबाग फ्लाईओवर मामले में ठेकेदार पर कोई कठोर कार्रवाई न हो : हाईकोर्ट

मध्यप्रदेश हाईकोर्ट की डिवीजन बेंच ने सोमवार को राज्य सरकार को निर्देश दिया कि ऐशबाग रेलवे ओवरब्रिज (ROB) बनाने वाले ठेकेदार के खिलाफ फिलहाल कोई कठोर कार्रवाई न की जाए। यह वही ओवरब्रिज है जो हाल ही में बीच में बने तेज मोड़ (राइट एंगल टर्न) के कारण सुर्खियों में आया था। कोर्ट ने कहा कि मौलाना आज़ाद नेशनल इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी (MANIT), भोपाल का एक प्रोफेसर फ्लाईओवर के मोड़ के कोण की जांच करे और अपनी रिपोर्ट अदालत में प्रस्तुत करे। इसके लिए याचिकाकर्ता को ₹1 लाख शुल्क देना होगा और भोपाल नगर निगम (BMC) को जांच में आवश्यक सहयोग उपलब्ध कराना होगा। याचिका एम/एस पुनीत चड्ढा की ओर से दायर की गई थी। इसमें कहा गया कि कंपनी को 2021-22 में ओवरब्रिज बनाने का ठेका मिला था। परियोजना 18 महीने में पूरी होनी थी। प्रोजेक्ट का GAD सरकारी एजेंसी द्वारा तैयार किया गया था, जिसे बाद में 2023 और 2024 में संशोधित किया गया। यह निर्माण लोक निर्माण विभाग (PWD) की देखरेख में हुआ। मीडिया रिपोर्टों में फ्लाईओवर के बीच 90 डिग्री के मोड़ की खबर सामने आने के बाद एक पाँच सदस्यीय जाँच समिति बनाई गई। समिति ने पाया कि मोड़ रेलवे ट्रैक के ऊपर वाले हिस्से में है। जाँच में यह भी सामने आया कि PWD और रेलवे अधिकारियों के बीच समन्वय की कमी रही और फ्लाईओवर के पिलर भी निर्धारित दूरी पर नहीं रखे गए। समिति ने बताया कि मोड़ 90 डिग्री का नहीं बल्कि 119 डिग्री का है। याचिका में यह भी कहा गया कि ठेकेदार को बिना सफाई का मौका दिए ही ब्लैकलिस्ट कर दिया गया। चीफ जस्टिस संजीव सचदेवा और जस्टिस विनय साराफ की बेंच ने राज्य सरकार को ठेकेदार पर सख्त कदम न उठाने के निर्देश दिए और MANIT प्रोफेसर से स्वतंत्र जाँच कराने का आदेश दिया। अब यह मामला 10 सितंबर को सुनवाई के लिए सूचीबद्ध होगा।

अमेरिका ने भारतीय निर्यात पर लगाया 25% अतिरिक्त शुल्क, व्यापार पर मंडराया संकट

अमेरिकी होमलैंड सिक्योरिटी की अधिसूचना के बाद भारतीय निर्यातक नए झटके के लिए तैयार हो रहे हैं। बुधवार से अमेरिका ने सभी भारतीय मूल के सामान पर 25% अतिरिक्त शुल्क लगाने की घोषणा की है। इसके बाद भारतीय निर्यात पर कुल शुल्क 50% तक पहुँच जाएगा, जो अब तक वाशिंगटन द्वारा लगाए गए सबसे ऊँचे शुल्कों में से एक है। राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने यह कदम अगस्त में नई दिल्ली द्वारा रूस से कच्चे तेल की बढ़ी हुई खरीद के चलते उठाया है। अधिसूचना के अनुसार, यह शुल्क बुधवार सुबह 12:01 बजे (EDT) से या भारत में 9:31 बजे (IST) से लागू होगा। हालांकि, इस नियम से वे माल मुक्त रहेंगे जो पहले से ट्रांज़िट में हैं और जिनके पास आवश्यक प्रमाणपत्र हैं, साथ ही मानवीय सहायता और कुछ पारस्परिक व्यापार कार्यक्रमों के अंतर्गत आने वाले सामान भी इससे बाहर होंगे। नोटिफिकेशन में स्पष्ट किया गया कि यह कदम भारत द्वारा रूस के यूक्रेन पर सैन्य हमले में अप्रत्यक्ष सहयोग के कारण उठाया गया है। भारत के वाणिज्य मंत्रालय ने फिलहाल इस पर कोई आधिकारिक प्रतिक्रिया नहीं दी है। मंत्रालय के एक अधिकारी ने नाम न छापने की शर्त पर कहा कि सरकार को तत्काल राहत या शुल्कों में देरी की कोई उम्मीद नहीं है। हालांकि, प्रभावित निर्यातकों को वित्तीय सहायता दी जाएगी और उन्हें चीन, लैटिन अमेरिका और मध्य पूर्व जैसे वैकल्पिक बाजारों की ओर रुख करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जाएगा। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने स्पष्ट किया है कि किसानों के हितों से कोई समझौता नहीं किया जाएगा, भले ही इसके लिए भारी कीमत क्यों न चुकानी पड़े। मोदी जल्द ही सात साल बाद चीन की यात्रा पर भी जा रहे हैं, ताकि दोनों देशों के रिश्तों में सुधार लाया जा सके। निर्यातक समूहों की चिंता निर्यातक संगठनों का अनुमान है कि यह शुल्क भारत के अमेरिका को होने वाले लगभग 87 अरब डॉलर के निर्यात में से करीब 55% को प्रभावित कर सकता है। इंजीनियरिंग एक्सपोर्ट्स प्रमोशन काउंसिल के अध्यक्ष पंकज चड्ढा ने बताया कि अमेरिकी ग्राहकों ने पहले ही नए ऑर्डर रोक दिए हैं। अतिरिक्त शुल्कों के चलते सितंबर से निर्यात 20-30% तक घट सकता है। चड्ढा ने यह भी कहा कि सरकार ने वित्तीय सहायता का भरोसा दिया है, जिसमें बैंक ऋण पर सब्सिडी बढ़ाना और निर्यातकों को वैकल्पिक बाजारों में पहुँचाने में सहयोग करना शामिल है। लेकिन उनका मानना है कि अन्य बाजारों में उतनी मांग नहीं है और घरेलू बाजार में भी इन उत्पादों की खपत सीमित है। अर्थव्यवस्था पर असर निजी क्षेत्र के विश्लेषकों ने चेतावनी दी है कि 50% शुल्क लंबे समय तक लागू रहने पर भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था और कॉर्पोरेट मुनाफों पर भारी दबाव पड़ेगा। कैपिटल इकोनॉमिक्स के अनुसार, यदि ये शुल्क पूरी तरह लागू हुए, तो भारत की आर्थिक वृद्धि इस वर्ष और अगले वर्ष में 0.8 प्रतिशत अंक तक घट सकती है। विदेश मंत्री एस. जयशंकर ने कहा कि भारत और अमेरिका के बीच व्यापार वार्ता जारी है। उन्होंने यह भी तर्क दिया कि रूस से तेल खरीदने पर अमेरिका की चिंता केवल भारत तक सीमित नहीं होनी चाहिए, जबकि चीन और यूरोपीय संघ जैसे बड़े खरीदारों पर समान दबाव नहीं डाला गया है। तेल कंपनियों के अधिकारियों ने भी कहा है कि फिलहाल सरकार ने रूस से तेल खरीदने पर कोई निर्देश नहीं दिया है और कंपनियाँ आर्थिक लाभ को ध्यान में रखते हुए खरीद जारी रखेंगी।

Bombay High Court Directs CBFC to Certify ‘Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi’ Without Cuts

The court observed: “We have seen the movie in its context, and we don’t see that anything needs to be re-edited… We don’t find anything objectionable.” Senior Advocate Ram Apte, appearing for the CBFC, argued the film contained obscenity and could be defamatory towards Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath. However, when asked by the bench, Apte admitted he had not seen the film. The court suggested the addition of an expanded disclaimer clarifying that the work is fictional. The petitioners, Samrat Cinematics India Pvt. Ltd., represented by advocates Ravi Kadam, Satatya Anand and Nikhil Aradhe, provided a modified disclaimer, which was accepted. The filmmakers told the court that despite a previous direction, the CBFC initially demanded 29 cuts, later reduced to 21 by its revision committee. The producers refused, prompting the legal challenge. The bench noted the film is based on the book The Monk Who Became Chief Minister and reminded CBFC that a film cannot be denied certification simply because it draws from an individual’s life or real events. With all objections struck down, the court directed CBFC to issue certification and allow the film’s theatrical release.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने शनिवार को राजधानी दिल्ली में इकोनॉमिक टाइम्स वर्ल्ड लीडर्स फोरम को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि उनकी सरकार अब तक की उपलब्धियों पर संतुष्ट नहीं है और वह आने वाले समय में सुधारों का एक “नया शस्त्रागार” लेकर आएंगे। मोदी ने दोहराया कि नया जीएसटी सुधार पैकेज दिवाली तक लागू हो जाएगा। इसके अलावा हाल ही में पारित आयकर विधेयक 2025 और जन विश्वास विधेयक 2.0 जैसे कानूनों को उनकी सरकार के सुधारवादी एजेंडे की झलक बताया। “भविष्य के लिए तैयारी जरूरी” प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा, “यह मेरी प्रकृति में नहीं है कि उपलब्धियों पर रुक जाऊं। सुधारों के लिए हमारी सोच भी ऐसी ही है। हम लगातार भविष्य की तैयारी करते रहते हैं। आने वाले समय में सुधारों का एक नया शस्त्रागार लाने जा रहा हूं।” उन्होंने बताया कि अगली पीढ़ी के ये सुधार मैन्युफैक्चरिंग को प्रोत्साहित करेंगे, उद्योग को ऊर्जा देंगे, खपत बढ़ाएंगे और रोजगार सृजित करेंगे। कानून और प्रक्रियाओं में बदलाव मोदी ने कहा कि सरकार पुराने और अप्रासंगिक कानूनों को खत्म करने, नियम-कायदों को सरल बनाने, प्रक्रियाओं और मंजूरियों को डिजिटल करने तथा कई अपराधों को अपराधमुक्त (decriminalise) करने की दिशा में तेजी से काम कर रही है। उन्होंने विपक्ष पर आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि पिछली सरकारें जनता को वोट बैंक की राजनीति में उलझाए रखती थीं और यह मानकर चलती थीं कि अत्याधुनिक तकनीक केवल विकसित देशों की बपौती है। इसी सोच ने भारत को कई क्षेत्रों में पीछे कर दिया। “अब भारत ड्राइवर की सीट पर” प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि भारत ने इंटरनेट और संचार तकनीक की बस कई बार मिस की, लेकिन 2014 के बाद दृष्टिकोण बदला। “हम 3जी, 4जी के लिए दूसरे देशों पर निर्भर रहे। कितने दिन और ऐसे चलेगा? इसलिए भारत ने निश्चय किया कि अब बस छूटेगी नहीं, बल्कि भारत ड्राइविंग सीट पर बैठेगा। हमने अपना 5जी सिस्टम खुद विकसित किया और देशभर में तेजी से लागू किया।” “सुधार हमारी प्रतिबद्धता हैं” मोदी ने स्पष्ट किया कि सुधार उनके लिए कोई मजबूरी या संकट का उपाय नहीं, बल्कि यह सरकार की प्रतिबद्धता और विश्वास का हिस्सा हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार इनक्रिमेंटल बदलाव नहीं, बल्कि क्वांटम जंप चाहती है। उन्होंने जन विश्वास विधेयक 2.0 का उल्लेख किया, जिसके तहत 300 छोटे अपराधों को खत्म किया जाएगा। आत्मनिर्भर भारत से विकसित भारत की ओर मोदी ने कहा कि आत्मनिर्भर भारत ही विकसित भारत की नींव है और यह तीन स्तंभों – गति, पैमाना और दायरा – पर आधारित है। उन्होंने ईपीएफओ के ताजा आंकड़ों का जिक्र किया, जिनमें दिखाया गया है कि जून महीने में 22 लाख औपचारिक नौकरियां जुड़ीं, जो अब तक का सबसे बड़ा रिकॉर्ड है।

भारत पोस्ट ने शनिवार को घोषणा की है कि 25 अगस्त से अमेरिका जाने वाली सभी डाक सेवाओं को अस्थायी रूप से निलंबित किया जा रहा है। विभाग ने इसके पीछे नई अमेरिकी कस्टम नीतियों से जुड़ी “संचालन संबंधी चुनौतियों” को कारण बताया। अमेरिकी प्रशासन ने 30 जुलाई को कार्यकारी आदेश संख्या 14324 जारी किया था, जिसके तहत अब तक लागू 800 डॉलर तक के ड्यूटी-फ्री छूट नियम (de minimis exemption) को समाप्त कर दिया गया है। यह नया नियम 29 अगस्त से लागू होगा और इसके बाद सभी अंतरराष्ट्रीय शिपमेंट्स पर कस्टम ड्यूटी लगेगी। केवल 100 डॉलर तक के दस्तावेज/गिफ्ट आइटम ही फिलहाल छूट के दायरे में रहेंगे। भारत के संचार मंत्रालय की प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में कहा गया: “25 अगस्त से अमेरिका जाने वाले सभी डाक आइटम्स, उनके मूल्य की परवाह किए बिना, कस्टम ड्यूटी के अधीन होंगे। केवल पत्र/दस्तावेज और 100 डॉलर तक के गिफ्ट आइटम्स ही स्वीकार किए जाएंगे।” विभाग ने बताया कि यूएस कस्टम्स एंड बॉर्डर प्रोटेक्शन (CBP) ने 15 अगस्त को प्रारंभिक दिशा-निर्देश जारी किए थे, लेकिन “क्वालिफाइड पार्टीज़” जैसी प्रमुख प्रक्रियाएं अब भी स्पष्ट नहीं हैं। इस वजह से एयर कैरियर्स ने 25 अगस्त के बाद अमेरिकी डाक पार्सल लेने से इनकार कर दिया है। यह कदम ऐसे समय आया है जब भारत-अमेरिका व्यापार तनाव बढ़ रहा है। राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने हाल ही में भारतीय वस्तुओं पर 25% टैरिफ और रूसी तेल खरीद पर 25% अतिरिक्त दंडात्मक शुल्क लगाने की घोषणा की थी, जिससे कुछ वस्तुओं पर कुल शुल्क 50% तक हो गया है। डाक विभाग ने कहा कि जिन ग्राहकों ने पहले से ऐसे शिपमेंट बुक किए हैं जो नई छूट श्रेणी में नहीं आते, वे पूरी डाक-शुल्क वापसी के लिए आवेदन कर सकते हैं। “स्थिति पर करीबी नजर रखी जा रही है और अमेरिकी प्राधिकरणों व लॉजिस्टिक साझेदारों से समन्वय कर सेवाओं को जल्द बहाल करने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है,” विभाग ने कहा। फिलहाल अमेरिका के लिए केवल पत्र/दस्तावेज और 100 डॉलर तक के गिफ्ट आइटम्स भेजे जा सकेंगे। ई-कॉमर्स पैकेज, वाणिज्यिक पार्सल और अन्य श्रेणियों की बुकिंग 25 अगस्त से पूरी तरह बंद हो जाएगी। यह अस्थायी निलंबन भारत की डाक सेवाओं में एक दुर्लभ व्यवधान है और अमेरिकी व्यापार नीतियों से पैदा हुई अनिश्चितताओं को उजागर करता है।
