Comprehensive Security for Durga Idol Immersion at Sindh River Ghat
The local administration in Aron is on high alert for the upcoming Durga idol immersion ceremony, scheduled to coincide with the conclusion of the Navratri festival and Dussehra on October 20, 2026. To prevent any untoward incidents and ensure a peaceful event, officials have conducted a thorough inspection of the Sindh River bank in Baroud.
During this inspection, officials reviewed the comprehensive security arrangements and issued necessary directives. Aron Station House Officer Ravindra Sikarwar himself visited the immersion site along with Head Constable Jitendra Gurjar to assess the security measures. He instructed those present to prioritize safety above all else.
Mr. Sikarwar specifically advised that all Durga idols should be immersed using a crane. This measure is crucial to ensure the safety of devotees and mitigate any potential risks, especially for larger idols that could be dangerous to immerse in deep water or from unstable banks. The use of a crane will not only guarantee safety but also streamline the process.
Administrative Review of Preparations
At the administrative level, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Manjusha Khatri and the Tehsildar also visited the site to review the preparations. Officials focused on all necessary safety precautions at the immersion site, aiming to ensure devotees can perform their religious rituals without risk.
The administration evaluated the river's water level, bank conditions, and potential crowd congregation areas. Extensive security arrangements have been made by the police force to prevent any negligence during the immersion. These include deploying an adequate number of police personnel, arranging for divers, and establishing first-aid facilities.
This proactive approach by the officials is considered a significant step towards maintaining peace and order in the region. All individuals present at the site have been encouraged to adhere to administrative directives to ensure the immersion program is conducted smoothly and safely. The administration has appealed to citizens for cooperation and urged them to follow all safety standards, making this religious event a safe and pleasant experience for everyone.
Additionally, local communities are being made aware of the importance of avoiding overcrowding and maintaining social distancing during the immersion period to prevent any health-related concerns.
