Collector Inspects Government School, Expresses Disappointment Over Low Attendance
Guna | October 9, 2026 District Collector Kishore Kumar Kanyal conducted an unscheduled inspection of the Integrated Government School in Shahpur during his visit to the Raghougarh area on Friday. He expressed deep dissatisfaction upon finding a significantly lower student attendance than expected.
The Collector has issued strict instructions for immediate notices to be served to the responsible officials for their negligence in this matter. During this visit, conducted under the Chief Minister Jan-Vishwas Abhiyan, the Collector personally inspected various classrooms.
Focus on Quality Education, No Negligence Tolerated
He questioned the attending students about their academic levels and various subjects. The Collector advised teachers to use simple and effective teaching methods to foster student confidence and improve the learning process. Chachauda MLA Priyanka Penchi and District Panchayat President Arvind Dhakad were also present with the Collector during this inspection.
In discussions with officials, Collector Kanyal clarified that any lapse in terms of regular student attendance and the quality of education in the district will not be tolerated. He also highlighted the district's progress in the education sector.
The Collector mentioned that last year, three students from Guna district secured positions in the state-level merit list, and 2,700 students received laptops. This underscores the commitment to educational advancement and recognition.
Review of Other Government Institutions
Following the school inspection, the Collector, in the next phase of his tour, also reviewed the Gram Panchayat Nasirpur office and understood its operational procedures. Additionally, he inspected the Anganwadi center in Shahpur, where he distributed food items to children and gathered information about the facilities available.
As part of his inspection, the Collector also observed a Government Fair Price Shop and issued necessary guidelines regarding its operations. The primary objective of these various inspections is to ensure that the benefits of government schemes effectively reach the last person and to continuously improve the functioning of the administered systems.
