Chief Minister Directs Field Presence and Swift Grievance Redressal
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has issued strict directives for officials to remain active in the field and ensure the swift resolution of public issues, particularly those related to drought conditions, as part of the effective implementation of the 'Jan Vishwas Abhiyan' (Public Trust Campaign). During a high-level review meeting held via video conferencing on Wednesday, the Chief Minister made it clear that he will now conduct surprise visits to any district without prior notice to assess the ground realities.
The meeting included the Collector of Sagar, Mrs. Pratibha Pal, and other local officials. The Chief Minister expressed deep concern over pending complaints in various departments such as Revenue, Women and Child Development, Public Health, and PHE. Chief Secretary Mr. Ashok Barnwal subsequently instructed Collectors to bring about immediate improvements in their performance, with specific displeasure noted towards officials showing sluggishness in the 'Jan Vishwas Abhiyan'.
'Jan Vishwas Abhiyan' Progress and Directives
The progress of the 'Ownership Rights Record Execution Scheme' was also discussed during the review meeting for the 'Jan Vishwas Abhiyan'. It was informed that over 1.60 lakh free registrations have been successfully completed to date. Tehsildars and Patwaris who demonstrated excellent performance under this scheme were rewarded, while officials in districts with zero progress under the campaign received strict warnings.
The Chief Minister emphasized the need for officials to be proactive and responsible to live up to public trust. For districts affected by scanty rainfall, a special action plan is being formulated. The state has recorded 19 percent less rainfall than normal in 12 districts, prompting the Chief Minister to direct the creation of a special action plan focusing on agriculture, drinking water supply, and irrigation management to mitigate the impact of drought.
Preventing Seasonal Diseases and Other Key Instructions
Comprehensive measures are also being taken to prevent seasonal diseases. As per information, 'Chest Clinics' have been operational in all district hospitals since October 15. Furthermore, the Chief Minister directed acceleration of road repair and construction work before the upcoming Diwali festival.
Additionally, preparations for the Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day ceremony to be held in Bhopal on November 1, and the distribution of the 'Gopal Krishna Gram Puraskar' on Govardhan Puja, were reviewed. These directives underscore the state government's proactive engagement on various critical issues and its commitment to prioritizing the resolution of public grievances.
