The Cliff News | Goa | October 8, 2026. A luminary of Indian cinema, veteran actor Nana Patekar passed away in Goa on the morning of October 8, 2026, at the age of 75 due to cardiac arrest. The tragic news was confirmed by his son, Malhar Patekar.
According to reports, Nana Patekar was at his residence in Goa when he experienced chest discomfort and pain around 2:30 AM. His caretaker called emergency services at approximately 4:20 AM. Upon arrival, medical teams found the actor unresponsive.
Immediate Medical Response and Doctor's Statement
Senior physician Dr. Shekhar Salkar from Goa's Manipal Hospital stated that the medical team commenced CPR upon reaching the scene. Despite approximately 45 minutes of resuscitation efforts, the actor could not be revived.
Doctors declared him dead at 5:20 AM. As per prevailing regulations for cases where a person is brought dead to the hospital, a medico-legal case (MLC) has been registered. His body has been sent to the Goa Medical College (GMC) for a post-mortem examination to thoroughly investigate the cause of death.
